Elections 2019 :Emotional expression or Matured Decision

Election campaign is over and results are out for Indian democracy. With a massive victory BJP is over joyous and why not , 303 seats are even  beyond its expectations .At the same time this election has produced disastrous outcome for many Indian Political Parties especially for the Congress Party .With 52 seats in the Parliament and being wiped out in 18 States, Congress Party is passing through its worst time, because it's President has been defeated in Amethi which happened to be a strong hold for the party for decades .

Similarly the Communist party in India is also under semblance or its darkest hour of politics. Similarly parties like Samajwadi Party and Bahujan Samaj Party are also bewildered at the results .So question is logical how much Indian  voters are matured even after 60 years of democratic accountability. Why did I use the word Democratic Accountability because voters are equally  responsible for whatever had happened in India. Their political wisdom is tested once in every 5 years barring some exceptions .It has been seen that often people in India voted in favour of a political party  in such a way that opposition was virtually finished. It often gives rise to political dictatorship as it happened during the period 1971-75 and led to declaration of Emergency in 1975. Similarly in 1984 people have voted to Rajeev Gandhi with 415 seats and it burst like a balloon in just 5 years with so many scandals .We need to analyse why had it happened in the past and why are people  still  voting  in same pattern in 2019.It must be remembered that democracy needs opposition for its fair and fruitful  functioning. Therefore it may be concluded that in India voters are not still matured enough to vote for a party on issue based agenda .Both in South and North India, there is a practice of Hero worship and people are often misled by propaganda created by a party.
As if in the  election of 2019 voting has not taken place on major issues like condition of the economy, unemployment, rising Fiscal Deficit caused due to increased government expenditure, condition of core sector of the economy, rising NPA of the public sector  banks. Rather voting took place on many non  issue things like nationalism, Balakot strike, Hindu Muslim division and Raffel.
Neither opposition parties were able to present these issues in their election manifesto and during their compaign  they were easily trapped on agenda set by BJP. This is pathetic and deplorable state of affairs in politics. Time and again  in every phase of the election  BJP kept on shifting its goal post and opposition parties failed to fight election on national issues. Chowkidar chor hai actually boomeranged and dealt severe blow to the  Congress election strategy. Narratives for the election were set by BJP and other political parties couldn't pose any threat to it as it's agenda of Nationalism based on Hindutwa ideology has affected Indian youth like a hysteria. Before Phulwama and Surgical strike there was no big difference in popularity graph between  Modiand Rahul Gandhi but again opposition parties have made a blunder by questioning surgical strike. Both Modi and BJP knew it that political parties especially congress will commit a political suicide and the way its leaders have forwarded their arguments is deplorable. It shows political bankruptcy in congress. Neither it was able to win minorities nor Hindus and in confusion it kept on experimenting with the Raffel scandal.
As regards to  formation of  Grand Alliance of SP ,BSP and RLD ,it was the worst  product that UP could have seen. Historically it has been found that the BSP voters never shifted their votes to any other party. Therefore it was a foolish decision on the part of Akhilesh Yadav  to go for alliance with BSP. Results are more than the proof of this historical theory. And by not inviting Congress Party in it was one of the biggest political blunder  that gave easy way out to BJP. Similarly in Bihar Congress Party allies like RJD and other parties  have done more damage than the benefits for Congress Party. At the same time  since 2014 BJP kept on analysing 120 seats where margin of defeat was less and appointed its Pankaj Pramukh at each booth  to win atleast 30 to 45 thousands new supporters. Further there is no denial to the fact that this election was  fought on strong Hindutwa ideology. Speeches of various leaders in  various States need to be examined but more than that is the undercurrent that divided people on religious grounds on the ground of Ali and Bajrangbali .
STATE OF THE CONGRESS PARTY AND ITS FUTURE:
Congress Party was formed in 1885 and throughout the  freedom  struggle it was a symbol of Nationalism and Secularism and as a result post independence era was dominated by it. Political parties  in front of congress were no way in a position to  challenge it but most of challenges to the party came from within. So I would like to analyse history of Indian election in 4 parts.

1.NEHRU ERA: 1947-1962                           During post independence era there was no big challenge to the Congress Party and popularity of Nehru was so commanding that other political parties couldn't pose any threat. With 3 massive victories in Parliamentay elections, Nehru was undisputed champion but soon after his death in 1962, there was a political fight inside the party led by Kamraj and Morar Ji Desai groups and for a brief period once again Congress Party came under Nehru family control when it was decided in two fractions Congress U and Congress I.Voters during this period mainly voted emotional  grounds and Indian democracy  was basically under one party rule. For good or bad they blindly supported Congress Party policies and programme .Despite growing dissatisfaction, there was no viable alternative and hence Congress never faced any big challenge.
2.Indira Gandhi Era 1967-1984
During this period charismatic personality of Indira Gandhi was so dominant that in her first phase of rule she was unchallenged and undisputed leader of Indian masses. With a victory in 1971Pakistan war, she emerged as a big personality with 353 seats in the Parliamentary elections .It was a period when politics of principle was substituted with politics of popularity.Various types of manipulations and political manoeuvring were used during the election time. However during Indira Gandhi rule power has corrupted political thinking process also and people remember this period for Emergency of 1975 than anything else. She was ousted from power due to a Grand Political Formation known as Janata Party  which was very short lived. Congress was backed in power in 1980 but Indira Gandhi was assassinated in 1984 and once again a political experiment with Rajiv Gandhi was made which was not so successful .And after his unfortunate death in 1990,there was an experiment with non Gandhi family congress leadership under P.V.Narsimha Rao  as PM and Sita Ram Keshari as Congress President. During this period the Congress Party has seen many political conspiracy theories and power manoeuvring. Finally once again Sonia Gandhi took over its charge which led to once again division of the Congress Party.
3.Sonia Gandhi Era:
After taking control of congress party in 1996,Sonia Gandhi tried to  rebuild it but by this time support base of congress has shrunk badly, so in the election of 2004 it was able to win only 142 seats but UPA formed the government with its allies. Party continue in power despite many constraints for 5 years and it was able to win next election in 2009 also.It was this period of rule that has caused irreparable damage to the party and under able leadership of Narender Modi ,BJP has won 286 seats and left Congress Party with 44 seats with its worst time.
4.Rahul Gandhi Era:
With growing demand for promoting Rahul Gandhi as President ,he was given charge of Congress Party. Except for election in 3 States Chatisgarh, MP and Rajsthan, there is nothing to remember about his period and finally election results of 2019,Congress party is under semblance. The Party was able to win only 52 seats and  what is more surprising that it has performed  worst in many of its ruled States like MP,Rajsthan, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka. If there was no such performance in Punjab and Kerala, the Congress Party was on virtual end.Continuous decreasing base in UP and Bihar is a matter of serious concern as it has almost lost its majority of cadre and traditional vote bank. And why not as Rahul Gandhi as President failed to organise party in these two States. Most of old leaders had either shifted their loyalty to some other parties or become dormant in state politics. What is even worse that in many district its units are non existent .
To save its face Priyanka Gandhi entered into full-fledged politics but that was too late for the party. It was able to win only one seat of Sonia Gandhi.
There are several reasons for contraction of the Congress Party --
1.Poor leadership at the top .Most of CWC leaders lack public exposure and public  connection.
2.Causal approach of Rahul Gandhi as President. He seems to be a leader without vision. His core team comprises of those people who have not faced election .
3.Falling and virtually  finished organisational structure in many States like UP and Bihar.
4.Lack of second ranked leaders in the party.
5.Part time politics theory of Rahul Gandhi.
6.Lack of booth level workers in most of the states  which led to lack of attachment to party ideology.
7.No government in UP and Bihar  for more than 23 years. It discouraged party workers to remain loyal.
8.Most of old supporters have either shifted their loyalty to some other parties or become dormant.

SP and BSP FUTURE:
Both these parties have lost most of their traditional vote bank and are struggling with various types of contradictions. SP was defeated in its strong hold areas where as BSP was able to win a part of its Jatav vote bank.
Now even during the forthcoming  Assembly elections  it will be difficult for them to revive their party cadres.

Priyanka Gandhi Entry into Full Time Politics

Today the Congress Party made a very dynamic and bold decision by making Priyanka Gandhi the General Secretary and by giving her charge of Eastern UP. Now this make UP parliamentary elections more complicated.
When political parties like SP,BSP and RLD formed an alliance in Uby neglecting Congress, the front leaders of these party have a microscopic political vision but they forgot about one thing that Congress Party is more than 135 years old party with group level  ideological background which always gives it an edge over all other parties provided it has a dynamic leadership .
What the Congress Party was missing was a dedicated political leader and new energy. No doubt that Sonia Gandhi is not active now a days in politics but her absence will be truly filled by entry of Priyanka Gandhi.
Congress workers and people find a glimpses of Indira Gandhi and this will help party more than expected .
Now for BJP it is a big jolt as now it has to devise a solid strategy for coping this new challenge. And if Priyanka Gandhi is able to attract both its traditional vote bank and minority votes tgen it will harm both BJP and SP and BSP alliance. Traditionally the Congress Party has a vote share of about 30% which has dwindled in the last 20 years in UP. And if Priyanka Gandhi is able to attract both its traditional vote bank and minority votes then it may win 20 to 25 seats in Parliamentary election .
With MP,Rajsthan and Chhattisgarh in its direct control, then the Congress Party can see its revival in 2019.

WHERE DO WE STAND TODAY: THE SADDEST DAY OF INDIAN POLITICAL HISTORY

Wishing all you a very happy Saturday. The day that will be remembered for the outcome of floor test in Karnataka Assembly which will decide future of democratic accountability of a political party BJP that came with a promise of transparency and accountability.
But within 4 years of Modi rule we all are in tears to see the plight of everyone in the country. Many of you might not have seen Emergency of 1975 but you can easily  compare the present situation  with that period. Most of the Media houses have either seem to have sold themselves to a party  in government or have made some unethical  compromises with that party.
If 4  supreme court judges are comming out openly to ask the people to save democracy and its institutions  then situation is surely alarming.
I still remember  how the ex Chief Justice  of India Mr Thakur had cried in a meeting in which PM was also present. It means tgat government interference in judiciary  has increased
In a country if opposition  of the government  makes you anti national     and you are asked to leave the country then  situation is very serious and certainly  demands  some bigger action.
Today the only hope comes from two sides Supreme Court and we the people of India. Hope we will wake up and fulfil our national responsibility.
In fact people of India need an emancipation from such a corrupt and rotten political system.Hope that political parties will realise  that it is high time and decide to work for the nation building  rather than being  a commodity  for sale in the political mandi. If is very difficult to  digest that people's representatives will change their political ideology  and will change the party for a briefcase .
The biggest question is that why do we select and  elect  such people as people  representatives who don't have any moral and ethical standards. In fact political  pollution  has started in 1952 during the First General Election when nearly 57%MP were from Landlords,Aristocratic and Capitalist backgrounds  and those who fought for the national freedom were ignored. It was the biggest mistake that tge Congress Party has made purposefully .
The political degeneration continued  during 1960's and 1970's with both capturing and introduction of criminals in election process  but by the end of 1977 there was some hope due to emergence of Jay Prakash Narayan and formation of Janata Party.Unfortunately this experiment failed because  our political  representatives till then were so corrupt that they failed to live upto the expectations of the people.
After that re emergence of Indira Gandhi and her political experiments the political vaues have further  in India. There was a fresh lease of air in the form of Rajiv Gandhi but he failed to face corrupt political system.
1990 was a period of Political Alliance plotics and several leaders who never imagine  to be a national leader became Prime Minister of India like I.K.Gujral and Deve Gowda. We entered the 21st century with another phase of Alliance which continued for 13 years and then came Modi government .
By now it is clear that politics has traveled 70 years and unfortunately we don't have any big leader who ever thought of making the nation a big power.

The General Election of 2019:A big Challenge for BJP

After Karnataka election, opposition has got a new lease of life as they realised that their strenth lies in the united opposition  and not in divided one. Why? Because   what had happened during the by elections in UP,Bihar and Rajsthan and in some others States ,the same can be repeated in the General election also.
There are valid reasons for this belief also.If BSP,SP and Congress Party become united in UP then the vote percentage of the 3 parties will be around 57%.And it will bring down BJP seats in the General election to nearly 20.
If same thing is done in Bihar where again these 3 parties along with RJD decide to fight General election in 2019 then vote percentage is more than 40% (18.7+16.9+6.7)and in this situation both BJP and JDU will not be able to win even 20 seats.
Similarly in Gujarat and Rajsthan the position of BJP is not good as united opposition will create serious  problems .Recently we have seen what had happened in Gujarat when the Congress fought election by forming a Grand Alliance .
And Rajsthan government is facing anti incumbency factor and united opposition will create great impact on election results and loss of 50%seats are the most probable outcome.
Only these States results will decide future of next government of BJP .Because these 4 States have 80+40+25+25=170 seats.Of which 140 seats are minimum requirement for forming government at the centre. And if include seats from MP and Chhattisgarh(29+11=40),where BJP is facing serious challenges and it will not be possible to repeat 2014 performance .As a result if BJP is not able to win 170 seats out of 210 seats then how can it even imagine to form a government
In the newly elected States under the rule of BJP may give some respite but caste conflicts created by BJP over enthusiastic workers will again increase vote percentage of the opposition.
With the loss of Telgu Desam and Shiv Sena the number of seats will decrease in these States.
So dream of repeating BJP rule becomes a distance dream.
It looks very difficult for the BJP to do something extra ordinary in West Bengal,Orissa ,Andhra Pradesh and some other South Indian .And in this situation  Amit Shah had said that he is making plan for 50 years of BJP rule in India. What are the base of his imagination he can better explain but ground realities are something else.
Most enthusiastic BJP supports may have to digest that BJP doesn't have history of repeating its rule at centre.
In the last election 3 groups voted for the BJP in large numbers Youth,Peasants and Middle class. But these classes are the worst suffering classes in the last 4 years of Modi rule  and now the water is flowing over head.Youths are highly frustrated  due to lack of job opportunities  and lofty statements of Modi have been exposed. Farmers are the second worse  suffering class who feel cheated by the BJP. No plans to improve their conditions .What had happened to the promise of doubling their income? The policy of Demonetisation and GST have created enough troubles for the business community which is a traditional vote bank of BJP.
And middle class as usually always paying enough taxes but receiving nothing.Rising prices of petroleum products are further hitting them hard. Similarly in the last election OBC and Muslims have also voted for BJP along with its traditional vote bank .It was the reason why the party was able to win 73 seats in UP.But now  equations are changing. The traditional vote bank of Adivasi in Chhattisgarh has shifted from it and with united opposition again Dalit and OBC votes will shift from BJP .Its failure to do something on black money issue and continuing frauds in baking sector has diminished its image as corruption free party.Raffel deal has created big question mark.So there are enough materials for the opposition .
Now what will be new plank of BJP for 2019 election? And how can this party repeat its performance of 2014 only God knows.
Now the situation on the side of the opposition is also not simple as there are caste equations and created social engineering. Both SP and BSP have there traditional vote bank and they will not like any shift in the vote bank.In the last election BJP had won majority of reserved seats in UPand created big problems for both SP and BSP .
Similarly the Congress Party will have to develop compromising attitude and SP experience in the last UP with the Congress was not good.Congress party should have to come out of its past euphoria .
The Grand Opposition Alliance should include more members from both South and North India. In recent times Muslims community is feeling insecure due to regular conflicts. Therefore this vote should not be allowed to divide .An alliance of Muslims,OBC,SC and ST could easily give more than 300 seats in the next election.
Now the Biggest problem who will lead the Grand Opposition Alliance The Congress Party claims and regional aspirations will pose a great problem. Matured  political thinking can solve this issue.

Outcome Of Karnataka Elections

Today election results of Karnataka were announced and trends indicate that people have rejected leadership of Rahul Gandhi. In one after another elections  the performance of the Congress Party  is turning from bad to worst. As a result the Congress has planned to make a post poll alliance with JDS as per news reports to form a government .In the light of these developments it is very important for the Congress Party to analyse  outcome  in Karnataka Elections in two perspectives.
Firstly the Congress Party has not only alienated itself from the common issues of the public but also failed to energise its workers to face onslaught  of BJP.
Secondly  why didn't the Congress Party go for an alliance with JDS which was offered to itand now after election results  the same is being done.Even if it is being done secretly to save its face ,this is not a good political strategy in the long run.The post poll analysis has to consider certain basic issues which are very important for political prudence for a national party.

There are diffent socio-Political basics of three main parties JDS,Congress  and BJP in Karnataka as well as at the national level. And Rahul Ganghi is unable to understand  harse realities  of Indian Politics .On many occasions  he seems to be an politically  indifferent leader taking politics as a part time activity and on many occasions  he looked like a big novice political leader who behaves plotically unaware of its implications with his own party leaders and leaders of Regional political  parties.
There is no doubt that the Congress Party  has been an elite dominated party since its beginning by not taking demands of poor farmers, industrial workers and various other  social groups during the Freedom Struggle and this character of the party continued during the 20th century. Its main political supporters  were SC,ST ,OBC and Muslims. In 1990 with the implementation of Mandal Commission a major vote bank of OBC moved towards RJD,JDU,SPand BSP in the North and many Regional Political parties in the other parts of the country.Further with Babari Masjid episode and the Congress Party reluctance to act strongly  against those who were responsible for destruction of Babari Masjid forced Muslims to moved towards the SP and RJD causing  irreparable damage to the Congress Party. Now the party influence was limited to the few States in the North and some States in the South.
And in the ensuing years there was a vacuum created on the political map of India. Although with the help of an alliance called UPA the Congress Party was able to rule the nation for next 10 years under the leadership of Manmohan Singh. But tgese 10 years were marked with corruption charges and scams. It prepared  a fertile  ground for BJP to highlight failure of the Congress Party and popularize its agenda of SAB KA SATH SAB KA VIKAS.
After 2014 election  there were no looking back for tge BJP  and in one after another elections, tge party has established  its presence in 21 States. In fact it has moved one step ahead towards CONGRESS MUKTA BHARAT.
Now for the Congress Party time has come to introspect its strength and weaknesses and rebild its political base.If not the year 2019 will prove to very fatal for it.The loss of Karnataka will have far reaching consequences for the Congress in the South as well as other  State election  during  2018.
So the Congress Party is facing a great challenge.
No doubt that Karnatka  Elections were dominated by religious divisions and corruption charges  against CM Sidaramaiha but divided opposition  failed to capitalise angre against Modi Government .And finally  Congress  Party  was very beautifully swayed  away from local  issues to national  issues as a result  people  Karnataka  Elections  were more known rhetoric suitable for general election than a State election .
There are big questions  over election strategy and panning by the Congress Party because
1. Its vote bank of Dalit (17%)&Muslims(7.8%) failed to materialise and its Ligayat card also failed miserably.
2.At ground level  party cader looked unorganized and at booth levelsparty workers were not well prepared and failed to bring voters to the booth level.
3.Congress failure to form an alliance with JDS and BSP.As a result opposition vote was divided  paving way for BJP victory.
4.Government of Sidaramaiha failed to highlight its achievements  and its further failure to counter Hindutwa experiments in the coastal areas.
5.Certain immature statements of Rahul Gandhi during the election rallies.
Now if this development of forming an alliance with JDS is true and happens to materialise then for the  time being, the Congress Party will be able to save its face in Karnataka. But BJP will not sit as a fence sitter after emerging as a single largest party and plan some political tricks .It seems that political drama in Karnataka may continue for some more time.

Karnataka Election :A Litmus Test Of Modi

In 2014,Modi came to power riding high on the anti incumbency wave of 10 years of the Congress rule. There were  many scams and corruption cases durin the Congress rule and it provides a readymade ground for BJP to highlight failure of the government .
The massive mandate for BJP in the election of 2014 was primarily due to people getting fade with the Congress incompetence to handle corruption and black money issues .But now after 4 years of BJP rule people are confused as to why to vote for BJP in 2019 election.
There was election in the Gujrat in which BJP was somehow able to save its face and  formed the government but this election has clearly shown  that Modi magic is on downslide. This fact is further  strengthened by the fact that when opposition forms a strategic  alliance considering all political elements  then,it will be difficult for the BJP to repeat its performance of 2014.United opposition is a serious threat  to BJP  government and if in Karnataka the same thing could have been done then BJP dream to open gates in the South could have easily shattered .
Everything will depend on the how does JDS performs in the election as this party will be the king maker in Karnataka. On Polling day CM Siddaramaiha reacted very cryptically .
We are very-very confident that Congress party will come back to power with a complete majority,” CM Siddaramaiah said in Mysuru's Varuna. On being asked about Yeddyurappa's statement that he will be sworn-in as the new CM, Siddaramaiah said Yeddyurappa is "mentally disturbed".

Demonetisation and Its After Effects

The issue of Demonetisation is very much relevant  to the residents of India because in the  post independent  India  it is one of  the  most talked step by  the  Government. Demonetisation  was partial in India  as the government  only demonetised Rs.1000 and 500 currency  notes.People  were give a stipulated  time frame  for  deposit  of  their currency  notes in the  banks and the whole  nation was in line leaving behind their regular  work.

Now after  5 months of post Demonetisation  period  the time has come to analyse its effects  on  Indian Economy.
Demonetisation  is a blunder  by the present  government  as it was introduced  without  proper  planning  .Its objectives  were neither  finalised nor well defined.
As per latest  analysis  of  the RBI  and other financial  institutions  ,the government  has  huge negative  Opportunity  Cost of Demonetisation and as a resident  of  the  nation we too have  to  incurre  a very big cost in the form of Physical  Cost of waiting  for  our own assets  to be converted  into  liquidity.
In fact, the post Demonetisation  period  has resulted  into  slowing  down of the economy  by 2%of GDP. It is a very modest  data because   actual  damage  to  the  economy  will be much bigger in the long run.

Furthermore,  accelerated  loss in the manufacturing  , real estate ,and construction  sectors  is very much frightening  as these sectors  create  jobs for the people.
As if this was less the government  has  further  dealt  another  blow with the  introduction  of  GST with such a high rate slabs.Although  GST  in itself  is  not  a  bad step but question  arises was its timing  correct?
In short future  of  the  Indian  Economy  for the coming  two years seems to be bad bad as growth parameters  are  disheartening.

Indian  Economy  consists  of  two sectors Organized  and unorganised  and it was unorganised  sector  consisting  of  medium  and small  businesses  that was worst  hit.Lacs of the people  lost their jobs in the initial  stages  as most of the  activities  of  this sector  require lots of cash and most of these industries  were forced to cut down their production  and employment. Particularly  labour force  from rural  areas  were rendered  unemployed  and  left for their  respective  places.
Later on when Demand fell in the economy  due to lack  of  income  generated  by  the  unorganised  sector , it has affected  other sectors  and as a  chain reaction  in the economy  there was  a fall in the GDP in the first quarter of the Financial  year.
Now with the publication of  RBI report on Demonetisation   that 99%currency  is back to the  banks during  the  period of deposits, the story seems to be more complicated. Either  there were little  amount of Illegal  currency  in the economy or the illegal  currency  were deposited  as legal  currency  in the banks.
The RBI annual report said that “subject to future corrections based on verification process when completed,” the estimated value of the banned notes it “received” was Rs 15.28 trillion. This compares with the Rs 15.44 trillion of the invalidated notes that were in circulation as of 8 November, according to data provided by minister of state for finance Arjun Meghwal to Parliament on 21 January.
It seems to be a matter  of  great concerns  as if second part is true  then our banking  system  needs complete  overhauling. It is one of the  BIGGEST  SCAM  of modern century  in which a country  flooded  with illegal  currency  failed to dictate  it.According to  estimates provided by the Government  on the illegal  currency  and black money, these are about Rs.400000 crores and if all this money was deposited  in  banks, now the banking sector  will be under great pressure  to pay interest  on these deposits. Earlier  this  money  was not in the banking  system  and was laying in the people  lockers or in their custody and was not creating  any problem  for the banking sector.
Now the second part "What about unearthing  Black Money "As per the  Estimates  of World  Bank and other International  Financial  Institutions  our black money  economy  is  nearly  three times of GDP  at current  prices.
Where has that money gone if it was not deposited.
Therefore  Demonetisation  was an unthoughtful act full of dichotomy and its dynamics  are beyond  the  perception  of  common  man.
The cost of printing  new currency  notes is nearly  two times more than its actual  gains to the  RBI.
And at a time when92% Fiscal  Deficit has already  been  created in just 5 months of the current  Financial  Year, coming time will face stiff  inflation. Let us see what the government  can do because  it has to face election  in 2019 and by any means next two Budgets  will be Populist  Budget..

Beginning of the End of the Congress

Today's election  results  for 5 State Assemblies are great indications  of downfall  of a  great party as since  2014 Parliamentary  election  its miseries are increasing. At the  same  time,  the trends which most probably  will  be  converted  into  the  results,  are also an indicator  of what is called  social  engineering  and election  management. With no sign of political  maturity  ,the Congress  Party  is repeating  its last election  mistakes. Its loyalty  towards Gandhi family  has become  a  double  edged  sword. The more  it depends  and defends its allegiance  to the family  the more are its defeats  and disintegration.

Let me be very clear  that  for centuries  the same Gandhi  family was able  to  provide  great leadership  and political  wisdom  to the  Party but since  the death of Indira  Gandhi, no matter  what  ever  has been  done  and whosoever  may ruled  the Party ,its actual  strength  started  to  decline. For a brief  period  of  1984 to 1990 it seemed  that Rajeev Gandhi  is able  to  get  support  and  victory  in the  election  but very soon his own weaknesses  resulted  into  a  great defeat  of the party.
After him although Sonia Gandhi  was able to bring the  Congress  Party  into the  power but at the cost of its second  generation  leadership. Unfortunately  Gandhi  family  and the  Congress  Party  itself  has a habit  of  keeping party under its belt and doesn't  allow  new leaders to grow  or the old leaders to dominate. It is often  said that for the SUNRISE OF THE CONGRESS  PARTY  SON RISE  SHOULD BE ABANDONED.
But who listens. What can be worse  that in this election  the Congress  Party  has been  thrown  out  and is replaced  by  BJP and  the Left  Parties. In the Eastern  State like  Assam the top leadership  of the  Congress  Party  didn't  listen  to its State leadership. As a result  there was defection in the party .Secondly  Rahul Gandhi  mismanaged Assam election. It reflects  his political  immaturity  and aloofness  towards local issues. At the same  time  BJP  was able  to capitalise  local issues.

In Tamil Nadu it allies DMK is the same  party which  was always  anti Congress. It didn't  give  good taste  to the voters in TN.
Today's  election  results  shows many new trends of Indian politics. Despite violence  and corruption  Indian  voters  voted in the favour  of TMC  in the West Bengal. Historically  West Bengal  has been  a State  of  Left Parties  and had been  ruled by the Left Ideology. Surprisingly  in the last Assembly  election  TMC challenged  dominance  of  the  Left and came  in the power. Now despite  so many issues  against  TMC it has been  able  to  get  majority  in the West Bengal. It is because  with  the  same instruments  Left is getting  defeats  ie violence  and power during the election.

As regards  to  Tamil Nadu is concerned  it is remarkable  election  engineering  of Jay Lalita that led to this victory. It also  offers  a  simple  explanation  that Indian  voters can still  be  managed  by  the  money  and free gifts.Jay Lalita  way was made easy with fractional  divisions  in the  DMK.

Paris Attack: An Inhuman and Barbaric Act

France  will never  forget  Black Friday  on 13th  of  November  2015 when there were multiple barbaric  and dastardly  terrorist  attacks  at different  places  in Paris killing innocent people.  France has to declare a state of emergency and more than 15000 army personnel were deployed to counter these attacks.People  are still  in a  shock  as how within  an hour  the whole  thing  has changed  as a friendly  football  match between France  and Germany  ended in a stamped  causing many people  injured  and a few dead and a theater performance ended into cry and shouting. After the first  blast there were five more  attacks  in the different  parts  of  Paris resulting  into death  of 127 people  and injuring  more than 350 people.

Without  any delay  ISIS has taken  the  responsibility  and announcing  that this attack is the revenge  for French attack on  Syria and threatened  to carry more attacks  if France  doesn't  stop its bombing  on Syrian territory. And the timing  of  these attacks is more important  as Indian  PM is on his visit to England  and Iranian  President  was to start his tour of Europe. The world leaders should  take this attack as another war and they must decide a strategy  for terrorism. USA and its allies  now can't  continue  with the concept  of  good terrorism  and bad terrorism. And UNO should  not  limit its action only by condemning  such barbaric  attacks but will have to  take  decisive  action rather its image  will be dented  badly.Interference  in Syrian  affairs without any sanction  from either  UNO or the World community  by USA and its allies  may be cited as one reason  for the present attacks in France  but its root causes are much deeper  than  we could see them.

We are facing an act of war organized by an army of terrorist jihadists that had already organized and planned attacks in the past," French Prime Minister Manuel Valls said Saturday evening. "Five attacks have been thwarted since this summer. But we have always said that there is no such thing as zero risk. We have always said that France could face new terrorist attacks." The whole world stand united with France in tgis hour of tragedy  and grief.Indian PM condemned  this barbaric  attacks  on the innocent  people. Similarly  Henry  Clinton said  "Our prayers are with the people of France tonight, but that is not enough," she said. "We need to have a resolve that will bring the world together to root out the kind of radical jihadist ideology that motivates organizations like ISIS, a barbaric, ruthless, violent jihadist terrorist group."

Recently  it has been  observed  that  Europe  has become  a  centre  of  major  terrorist  activities  and France  has been  targeted  in the worst ways.Ever since  the  Iraq war in 1990's and NATO nations participation  in  that war ,Europe  has become  a targeted  place  for terrorist  attacks. With growing fundamentalism in the Middle  East countries and realisation  that Western countries  are not only eroding  their religious  and cultural  identities  but also  squeezing  their national wealth ,there has been  strong resentment  among the  people  against the western  world and its policies.

Therefore  the plot of the  present  day  attacks  in the  different  parts of the  Europe  are a reaction to  the  historical  mistakes  committed  by USA  and its allies since  the  second  World War. Unnecessary  interference  in the cultural  and religious  beliefs  for the  petty  economic  gains by USA  and  its allies have  created  great resentment  among the  people  in Muslim  world. And now European  people  are paying  for  the  mistakes  committed  by  their leaders in the  past.

People  must note that Sadam Hussain rule in Iraq was a  balancing  force in the Middle  East  and with its destruction  that balancing  force is now missing  as a result  there is a vacuum  which is allowing  the growth  of terrorism  in this region.  ISIS is one of them. Its ideology  is clear :establishment of A Bigger Muslim World. And the main reason behind the growth  of  ISIS  in  this region  is conflict  between  Shia and Sunni dominance. It the  reason  why  they want to dethrone  Asad government  in Syria and Iraq who are Shia .Therefore  whenever there is any opposition  and whosoever  is against  this  ideology  there is strong reaction by ISIS in the form of terrorist  attacks. Unfortunately  France  has to bear it again  and  again  in  recent  times.

Firstly  when a magazine  office Charlie Hebdo was attacked  by  the  fundamentalists and its editor was killed. After  that  there was another bombing  attack in France  killing  people. These incidents  were indications  of  what is coming  in the future. More attacks  and more destruction. Now question  arises why only France? It is because  in this county there has been  growing  fundamentalism  among youths and there is  a strong under current in French society  which is encouraging  youths to join terrorist  groups.
Furthermore  with the  formation  of  the  European  Union  and single  visa system  it has become  very convenient  for  terrorist  to move from  one country  to another  and create its sleeper cells across  the  boarder.

As a result  Europe  has become  a heaven  for such organisations  to get support  and money  from the  youths. There has been  large scale  recruitment  in ISIS  from these countries  and it has made France  a soft target for attacks.
The world must and should  criticise  this inhuman  attack but at the  same  time  it has to  be  ready  for  the  more such attacks as ISIS  leadership  has given  clear cut indication  of  it.And such terrorist  organisations  have a simple  ideology  either you finish them or they will  finish you.Now it is upto the World community  to decide  how to handle  this issue  of terrorism  as for the first  time  USA  and  its allies  are facing  this challenge.
ISIS  is  under tremendous  pressure  due Russian  support  to Asad government  and in the recent  attacks  by Russian  planes it has lost some of its strategic  towns.Similarly  offensive  carried  out  by  USA  and its allies  have resulted  into the loss of Mosul and other towns disturbing  free movements  of ISIS  fighters. Therefore  ISIS  has  to take some dashing  acts of attacks  outside  the  Middle  East  region  to show  its strength. Since  it has  good number  of  supporters  in France these attacks  were easier  to  carry out there.According  to French authorities  7 out of 8 killed terrorists  are French nationals showing how much deep rooted are these groups on French  soil.
And growing  influence  of  ISIS  in Europe  can easily  be  seen  when there is a support  system  of suppliers  of  weapons  and other logistics. Furthermore  ISIS  has  also  proved  that  it can fight both offensively  and defensively  in and outside  the  Middle  East. Therefore  the time  has come  when the whole  world  has to take  united stand in pointing out who are the supporters  of  terrorism  and has to deal sternly  with them. Secondly  financial  support  of ISIS  has to be  broken  down  so that arms  purchases by it are controlled. Every  one knows  that there are many oil firms from Turkey  buying oil from ISIS  and selling  it  in the market and in return  they are getting  both money  and arms.Such nexus  needs to be  broken.

Victory of Mahagathbandhan in Bihar

The result of the most awaited election  in India is out and it has shaken faith of many political  pandits but it has at the same  time  proved a fact that India is not a politically  immature contry rather during the decades of 21st  century the people  have become  increasingly  politically  aware and mature. This election has also  taught many lessons to the nation and to many political parties especially  to BJP and Congress. To the BJP it has given a severe  jolt and dented the image  of PM Modi as Vikash Purus (man of development ). The  outcome  of  the  election  has also proved that  in India  no political  party  can take people  for granted  and allure or misguide them on frivolous  issues  of religion  and communalism. And to the Congress Party this election has made it clear that now it has to be ready to play second fiddle and to be a partner in the coallition rather to be the leader.

Let go back to historical facts that Bihar has been  a  land of reforms movements and political  experiments of many great leaders like Mahatma Gandhi and Jai Prakash Narayan and therefore  if the BJP has thought that it can lead the people  on religious  lines then it can be  said  that  its top leaderships  has no understanding  of  political fibre  of Bihar.Since independence Bihar has been  a centre  of  major political  movements and only during  80's of the last century  it experienced a political  downfall or perversion  when a group of spineless  leaders downgraded it in the eyes of nation.

Let us now focus  on  the  recent  election  and its outcomes. When Lalu Prasad Yadav decided  to  form an alliance  with  the JDU and the Congress  Party then as per Political  Airthematics  Mahagathbandhan  has gained a distinctive  edge over its rival  BJP  led NDA alliance. It is because  with around 18.7%Yadav voters combined with OBC and Muslim votes ;Mahagathbandhan has little  chances  of  debacles thanthe NDA  which is largely  dependent  on  the  upper cast and urba voters.

Secondly  with the passage  of  time youth has become  dischanted with illusions created by Modi. Therefore  NDA was fighting a  lost battle  from day one.As a result BJP  leaders devided to communalise the election which fortunately  did not materialised  in Bihar. Now both the strong weapons failing flat BJP has tasted  a worst type of defeat that has not only disheartened  its cader but also gave  chances  to those leaders who have  been  suffering  due to Modi cult in the  party. As a result voice of desent and criticisms  are growing  up in the party.

Now question  is who is to be blamed? Firstly Amit Shah with his arrogance  and out of people  touch. He is being blamed for alleiniating  veteran  BJP leaders in the state  and banking on those leaders who have  no political  ground in Bihar. More over  a decision  to  give more importance  to Manjhi and his party has disturbed  caste equations and seat distribution among the NDA allies and resulted into chaos  than  the actual political outcome in the election.

Then the issue  of reservation  raised by Mohan Bhagwat the leader of RSS at this juncture  was a fatal  mistake  and combined  with  communal incidents  of Atari in Haryana and Dadari  in UP  have  done enough damage  to  the  party. It actually left Muslim voters no other choice  than  to  stand with  Mahagathbandhan.
Finally both Lalu and Nitish Kumar were fighting the election  of their survival  and they were crafty enough to seal all the possible  loop holes in their planning.

Downfall of AAP

The high profile National Executive meeting of AAP at Kapasheda in New Delhi is an eye opener for all those who believed this party to provide an alternative politics. From the very beginning it has been alleged that AAP is a group of people who have no faith in the political system and their behavior is not different from an anarchist. And this rumor got a certificate after today's meeting in which no rules were followed and the democratic principles were butchered. The voice of descent were crushed with mussel power and opposition was made silent with the coarsive use of henchmen. Now question arises why are principles and policies sacrificed. If for the power then every leader of AAP should be ashamed as they have not only cheated people who have supported them but also for deceiving the nation in the name of cleansing the political system.

Mr.Kejriwal should be doubly ashamed as he is the main actor in the whole drama.Very cleverly he played his pawns in the game and whenever he was getting exposed then he escaped from the scene.
Mr Yogender Yadav and Mr.Prashant Bhushan are worried people not because they need pwer but they want that AAP shouldn't be finished in the same manner in which Assan Gan Sangram Parishad and the Janata Party have been finished for the power struggle. It is quite natural that POWER CORRUPTS A MAN BUT ABSOLUTE POWER CORRUPTS HIM ABSOLUTELY. The misery of leaders surrounding Kejriwal are power hungry people and they are misguiding him but this is not the only truth. Mr.Kejriwal himself became arrogant and non listener. He is afraid of opposition and therefore every voice of disagreement is being crushed.

Let us remember the Anti Corruption Movement of Anna Hazare and at that stage Kejriwal arrives with a great wisdom and vision. He became close to Anna and as soon as he relised  that he position is strong and unchallenged then he dominated the whole movement and in fact derailed the movement from its main motive. Very cleverly he used his new gained popularity to form a new Political Party to provide alternative politics. And surprisingly the party won good number of seats in the Delhi Assembly election. But moral downfall of AAP started as soon as the government was formed with the help of Congress. Since AAP fought election on the groud of disclosure of corruption charges against the Congress , it was a beginning of the Politics of Compromise.
Great victory of BJP in 2014 Parliamentary election frightened AAP about its own future and when BJP was rejoicing its victory , Kejriwal prepared a well drafted election strategy and got thumping victory. Now the second downfall of the party started from here. There was a group of people who have recently joined AAP and wanted to consolidate their position within the party and they can succeed only when some  space  is created. And today's meeting gave them an opportunity to get a few loyal leaders out of the party.

The Beginning Of A Vertical Split In AAP

After the great victory of AAP in Delhi election, we all were once again mesmerizedto see that how mature is Indian voter. This victory has paved the way for a party which is trying to present itself as an alternative politics to the  people India. Now the same party is feeling the actual waves of politics that is preference for sychophancy, groupism , favoritism and hunger for the power. In other words the great drama of Indian Politics began when a group of AAP leaders decided to remove Yogender Yadav and Prashat Bhushan from the Political Affairs Committee (PAC) . And the reasons given are so frivolous that even a lay man can't believe that both these leaders are conspiring against Arvind Kejriwal. It is true that POWER CORRUPTS A MAN AND ABSOLUTE POWER CRRUPTS HIM ABSOLUTELY.AAP is now suffering from political inviberation and its leaders have become whimsical.

It all started happening when after the debacle of Lok Sabha election in the last May, when there was a demand for one man one post in the party and it frightened some leaders of AAP that it may create a situation in which there will be a power struggle within the party and might reduce their importance in the party . As a result these leaders started planting stories about Yogender Yadav and Prashant Bhushan. There were sting operation and selective leakage of mails and letters to start war of words and for this a few selected leaders were given charge to create hostile environment for these two leaders in the party.

Finally a meeting was called to expel these leaders from PAC and reasons given that these two leaders will be given some other responsibilities but the party failed to make announcement about these responsibilities. And behind this move there were some leaders playing political game from behind the curtain. It is an open truth that Kejriwal himself wanted complete control over the party and therefore the voices of descent should have to be stopped. The person who started his political career as as a crusader of transparency in the political and social life; is now victim of ego and political vendetta .All those who reminded him of ideals of the party are now clubbed as anti party and are humiliated by a coterie of leaders who have gained nearness to Kejriwal and who do not want to loose their position.

It has been a story about Kejriwal that he had used people for his own ends like Anna .And then there is a long listof leaders. But it has not gone without opposition .Leaders like Binni, Sazia and Dhir who have tried to oppose  high handedness of Kejriwal were forced to leave the party.Mr Yadav and Bhushan are just new addition to the list of leaders to have dare to oppose Kejriwal and are facing the music. It is a fact that every thing is not well in AAP as during the last assembly election , the party has made many compromises and used many things that were opposed to the party principles. It were these issues which were highlighted by these two leaders.
Now expulsion of Yogender Yadav and Prashant Bhushan from PAC has created ripples in the party as the resolution wad passed by 12 to 8 votes and one of the suppoerter of the resolution , Mayank Gandhi has now opposing the method and manner of the decision. Even State Units of AAP are opposing this decision. And in the long run such acts of party leaders will damage the image of the party.

AAP Victory: A New Wave In The Indian Politics

The year 2015 will be known for two major things ;the visit of US President Obama on the occasion of Republic Day as the chief guest and for the first time defying all precautions the US President remained under open sky for more than two hours and for the first time a political party AAP has won 67seats  in the Delhi election .Both the things are historical in their own ways. Firstly when Obama visited Delhi , despite being a historical visit , it failed to create both political and economic euphoria. The political observers and readers may get bemused why I am mentioning Obama visit when the whole world is talking about Kejriwal victory. It has a tremendous relationship with recent election outcome. While BJP remained under an illusion that Modi international visits and management of international relationship with the powerful nations will create an euphoria that will ensure victory in the domestic affairs but that was not the reality as Indian voters are much more matured than what political parties think about them.

Now AAP victory in Delhi is historical and politically surprising as no one expected such absolute majority for Kejriwal. After Kejriwal 49days experimental governence and Lok Sabha  election in the last May 2014, every one thought that AAP story was over and his decision to fight this election was not only suicidal but politically immature but AAP didn't apply panic button rather it reorganised its cadres and infused them with new vigor and energy. When BJP was still in a slumber of recent election victories in the states like Haryana,Maharashtra, Jharkhand and Jammu and Kashmir, the AAP was contacting people in different parts of Delhi and was explaining its agenda. When other parties were struggling with their infighting and political conspiracy then AAP was busy with using social media for influencing the people to believe its ideology and programs.

AAP has not only challenged traditional political management technology and practices but has provided a faith to the common man that politics belongs to them and they can play tremendous role in shaping the future of the nation. Look at who are its volunteers , all new entrants of Indian politics the youth who are fade up with the rotten system and who feel that Kejriwal provides an opportunity to change the oudated system. There are many things that have to look into the outcome of this thumping victory.
Firstly there was a massive shift in the anti BJP votes towards AAP as people decided that voting to other parties like Congress will be a wastage because this party has no future in the election. And AAP leaders were able to convince the people that they are the only alternative available before the people. The way the Congress party started its campaign was even more disastrous as its leaders were not fighting election but against each other. Removal of Arvindal Singh Lovely as the CM candidate and projecting Ajay Maken was a tactical mistake because it was Lovely not Maken who stolen lime light through the protests and political management in Delhi during the 49days Kejriwal rule and after that.

Secondly all opposition parties especially the Left parties that have solid cadres in Delhi United behind AAP and supprted whole heartedly. According to the intelligence reports even naxal supporters favoured AAP as they see an opportunity in Kejriwal as anti system personality some favor for their ideology. This right -left combination became so deadly that neither the BJP nor the Congress was able to face this AAP Tsunami. Both these parties will have to look into this defeat from non traditional spectacle.

Thirdly the neglect of Purvanchali voters by the BJP was a big blunder. With 40lacs population no political party should dare to overlook them in any election. Some of the spoke person like Prabhat Jha should be very much cautious while saying what he did at BJP head quarter .These voters not only rejected BJP but at the same time supported AAP.This can be seen in the terms of victory margin and the numbers of seats own by AAP.

And the projection of Kiran Bedi as CM candidate by the BJP was the most crucial factors for the defeat of BJP in Delhi. This single move by the BJP not only disunited the party but also discouraged party workers. The way Kiran Bedi behaved during electioneering was even more shocking. BJP is a cadre based party and it is not possible to topple its old guards as it msy happen in other parties. It is beyond the understanding of commonman to think that BJP will make such a novice move to counter Kejriwal. If it a move of Amit Shah then it is a laughable and if it was unanimousely decided by the central leadership then it is even more surprising.Kiran Bedi behaved like an alien in the party and did more damage than what even severest critics of this move might  have even thought about.

Finally for the last seven months Modi government is talking more and doing less. The people are disillusioned as none of the promises made during the election time are being fulfilled. The Government stand on the Black Money is not only shocking but disastrous. The voter of today wants delivery and no talks.Further the policy of polarising voters on the religious line was a big mistake as youth of today is not ready to take this rubbish ideas. They voted BJP on the agenda of development and now they want the results. Lessons to be learned from this election by all the parties including AAP that unless you perform you are bound to perish.

Bharat Ratna to Atal Vihari Bajpayee and Madan Mohan Malviya

Bharat Ratna is the highest award given by the government of India to those who have served the nation in the most distinct manner. This year the award will be given to the two most distinguished leaders of Indian polity Atal Vihari Bajpayee and Sri Madan Mahan Malviya. There is no need of reference for these two in India asVajpayee served three times as PM of India and Malviya ji as nationalist leader was elected four times as the President of the Congress. He has also founded Banaras Hindu University.

This award is the highest civilian award given for exceptional services in the public life and it was constituted in 1954 and the first recipients were Rajgopalachari, C.V.Raman and Sri Radhakrishnan. In 1955 it was conferred to Pandit Nehru. As regards to it present recipient Sri Atal Vihari Bajpayee was born in 1924 in Gwaliar district of MP and is known for his oratory skills and political inclusiveness. He became member of the Lok Sabha in 1957 and looking at his political skills and oration Pandit Nehru said that one day this leader will become PM of India. This became true in 1996 when he became PM for thirteen days as his government failed to prove majority in the House. He again became PM in 1998 for the thirteen months and his government again fell down due to lack of majority by one vote. Finally he ran government from 1999 to 2004 as NDA leader.

Political reactions on conferring Bharat Ratna to Mr Bajpayee are encouraging and leaders from across the parties have welcomed the decision of the government. However according to many political thinkers it is late to recognize contributions of such a great leader with no blemish on his 51 years of political career. Unfortunately, today he is not even in a position to express his happiness as after stroke in 2009, he is unable to speak and even fails to recognize people. It is reason why people across the political parties had demanded Bharat Ratna for him since long.

He is a true freedom fighter and was jailed for participating in1942 Quit India Movement but was released after tweny one days on tbe promise that he will not participate in anti government movements but that was only for moment as he was an active member of anti British movement in India. After independence he joined RSS and later on he was made Serectrary General of Bhartiya Jan Singh . Again in 1975 he was sent to the jail for opposing Emergency  .After formation of Janata Party he became External Minister in 1977.He is known for his speech in Hindi in the UNO.

As regards to Madan Mohan Malviya the second recipient of Bharat Ratna is concerned, he is a true champion of Indian ideology and patriotism. The founder of BHU is known for his love for independent India. Many people may not be knowing that Satyameva Jayte slogan on Bharat Stham was suggested by Malviya ji and Ganges was diverted towards Haridwar due to efforts of Malviya ji.He started the practice of Aarti on the ghats of Ganga in Haridwar that still see it today. He also served as the Congress President four times I in1909, ,1918 1932 and 1933 and was regarded as a great nationalist leader and supporter of Hindi. He impressed with his speech in 1886 in the second annual meeting of the Congress where he spoke for 4 hours.

He founded BHU in 1916 with Annei Besent for which land was donated by the king of Banaras and other people. He remained VC of BHU till 1936.He was also the chief Editor ofHHindustan Times and was responsible for its Hindi edition. He advocated for Hindi being the national language and also founded Hindu Maha Sabha and Scout India. His contributions to the nation are numerous and he will be always remembered for his nationalist approach.

Bloody Face Of Terrorism in Pakistan

Pakistan suffered the worst type of terrorist attack on 16th December 2014 when Taliban terrorists attacked army school in Peshawar killing 132 students and ten more people. This attack by the terrorists is the worst in the history of terrorism and it crossed all the limits of inhuman behavior. According to the spoke person of Pakistani Taliban Muhammad Khurasani this attack is retaliation of military action in Waziristan area against them and they wanted to teach a lesson to the peopl who are opposed to their ideology. Accordingly  the Taliban says that actually they have removed evils from the education it ystem is they feel anti Islamic. It is hard to believe that in the twenty first century in which world these people are living and which type of civilization they want to create. The world community reacted sharply on this barbaric act and in India all the schools decided to keep two minutes silence.

Justifying killing of hundreds of innocent children in the name of ideology or for teaching a lesson to the Pakistani military is nonsense logic. It is a heart breaking thing to see that the students who went in the morning , there were 132 dead bodies in the afternoon. Street full of crying parents, and the school full of scattered bodies , books and other things belonging to the students. People are crying and that saying for God sake now stop this bloody story and blood bath of innocent people. They have many questions as why to target innocent children who are not the part of any political battle. These terrorists must listen what the youth are saying that they sacrificed their lives for better tomorrow. What is even more surprising that these terrorists were asking whether their father is a military man. This hatred towards military can well be understood but why such hatred towards innocent children.

Root cause of the present day problem is the divisive politics played by various parties in Pakistan.  Politicians divided Taliban into Good Taliban and Bad Taliban. And a large section of Pakistani army is also supporting Taliban. Pakistani army uses Taliban against different countries especially India. In1994 when Taliban came into existence to fight against USSR forces then Pakistan and Saudi Arabia supported them but at that time these countries were not aware that one day this will become a destructive force .In fact Pakistan even after many destructive and devastating experiences is not ready to understand that mixing terrorism and military policies will be self destructive and slowly will even eat up its civil administration setup.

Tahreek e Taliban of Pakistan(TTP)  was initially founded by Baitullah Mehsud in 2007 in a meeting of 40terrorists leaders of Pakhtul clan to propagate Deobandi ideology and to  establish islamic state and  but with the passage of time  TTP changed its face and declared itself as fighters against foreign occupation of Afghanistan and it was well supported by the Pakistani army. But later on this organisation started interfering in the domestic politics and then the military and the government got alarmed and the new Pakistani army chief decided to start military offensive against TTP in Waziristan province. As a result , previous equation between army and TTP got disturbed and the present attack may be a reaction to that.

In Pakistan politics is very much affected by terrorists orgsnisations and their political out fits.Like political party of Imran Khan which is ruling in Peshawar  has an understanding with TTP rather better to say that it has blessings of TTP, therefore, it was very lenient towards its activities.Similarily in Punjab province Nawaz Sharif brother is CM and  Taliban of this area is responsible for anti India terrorists activities and is called Good Taliban. On the other hand terrorists organisations operating at FATA area are opposed to Pakistani army, therefore they are called Bad Taliban for Pakistan and it is this group of terrorists who are responsible for attacks in Pakistan.
Socially too Pakistan is divided into three groups Punjabi, Sindhi and Baluchi and Pakhtuni tribals. Both Pakistani civil administration and army are unable to control its tribal population and this area bordering with Afghanistan is the real trouble for Pakistani administration. It is this area where hundreds of terrorists outfits are oprational and donot fallow any law.

Modi Magic in America

Modi visit to US is historical in many ways as  it is a step to bring two big democracies together to shape the future of a new world order.  The dynamism of Indo US relationship rest in the intensity at both the sides to develop a strategic cooperation in the economic and military sectors. Both the countries are aware of the fact that a solid relationship canonot be build on conditionalities and exceptionalities in the changed world order.Although Modi decided to visit SAARC countries and then Japan and US visit was planned for September 2014.It might looked as neglect of traditional partner and a break away from the traditional practice in foreign affairs but it is better to view this visit with a global eyes. Modi planned his visit in the month of September so as to do all necessary home work for meeting with the leader of a super power . Actually Modi knows the importance of his visit both politically and economically. Speaking like a true Stateman he bamboozled world leaders in UN General Assembly and demanded more democratic set up of UNO in the 21st century. He has  aslo shown door to his Pskistani counterpart Nawaz Shariff on the issue of Kashmir and said there cannot be multilateral solution to a bilateral problem. He raised issue of environmental protection and demsnded greater cooperation from the developed nations.

When he landed on the soil of US then among a few things that he has planned was to visit the ground Zero to pay homage to the victims of 9/11; but this was to give a massage to the world community that today the greatest threat is global expansion of terrorism and there can't be a selective counter terrorism policy. When other leaders of the world were discussing about their domestic matters or regional issues , Modi gave a comprehensive statement that there cannot be good terrorism and a bad terrorism. This massage goes deep as it questions US policy towards fighting terrorism.

After that his program at Madison Square is one of the memorable moment of Indo-US relationship as it made US to feel Modi magic. Both US and India know that sharing a good economic and strategic relationship is equally important for them for maintaining balance in both Asia and the world as wishes of India can't be ignored in the world affairs. Therefore no doubt Modi government has taken some time to decide its priorities with US before rushing to US as a traditional practice. By doing so  Modi should not live under an impression that US will do whatever India feels good for its country but Modi must state and stand for Indian interests very firmly and positively. He announced that visa rules will be simplified and NRI will now get life time visa.Modi appealed to Indians living in US to come forward and give their contributions in nation building. There be red carpet in the place of red tappism.

Now US must be in more positive frame work as its has to control growing strength of China in Asia snd it is not possible without India's support. Further more there are many irritants in Indo-US relationship such as Nuclear Liability treaty, Food subsidy, transfer of Fifth generation technology etc.but both sides will be looking forward to short out these problems. At the same time there are issues of economic treaty and sale of military equipments to India. But Modi is more interested in co production and joint ventures rather than the mere sale of arms. Why so because due to opening of defence sector for FDI now India will be more interested in technological development than being a good purchaser of arms.
So when Obama and Modi meet on 29th September then it will be a great mental game and the final outcome will be decisive for both the nations.
