A Black Day of Indian Democracy

On 12th February when the common man saw what is happening in the parliament he felt ashamed for what leaders of the nation are doing in the pretext of protest. No doubt the issue of Telangana is tricky and sentimental for the people of Andhra Pradesh but can we allow such things to happen in the Lok Sabha. First question arises that why is Telangana needed? Isn't this issue created to create unrest in this region? Why was this bill not discussed earlier and why were MPs across the parties allowed to ransackedLok Sabha?

Telangana issue needs to be understood in the light of geographic and caste division of Andhra Pradesh. Economy of Andhra Pradesh is largely controlled by Telangana region. And TRS chief Mr. Chandrashekhar Rao initiated demand for a separate Telangana State in the name of better administration and development of this region. Very soon there was divergent views on this issue. The whole issue had now two parties-one who support formation of Telangana and another group who is opposing its formation.

The worst thing is that Congress Party is playing this issue and even the Chief Minister Mr. Kiran Reddy threatened to resign on this issue. The whole thing is shrouded under politicalggains and losses as Congress feels that in the coming election it will face a very tough time in Andhra Pradesh therefore it played Telangana issue just before election. The whole Andhra Pradesh is burning and more than thousand people are dead protesting the division of their State and for Congress it is just simple. What happened with  Jagan Mohan Reddy is well known to the whole world. He was punished because he dare to challenge the Central leadership and especially Rahul Gandhi. CBI fails to solve simple criminal cases but it took great steps to solve cases related to disproportionate assets case of Jagan Reddy. It hurted Andhra pride and people supported Jagan Reddy party in election by giving him tremendous victory.

Comming to the Yesterday story; all the seventeen MP should not be only suspended rather a criminal case must be filed so that in future no MP dares to play with law . Earlier we use to hear that some people with criminal records are sitting in the Parliament but it is shocking to see that actually these leaders behaved in criminal ways. How can we allow such things to happen in the Lok Sabha which is the temple of democracy. Using black pepper powder and knife to threaten leaders in the parliament is unpardonable act.
