Bharat Ratna to Atal Vihari Bajpayee and Madan Mohan Malviya

Bharat Ratna is the highest award given by the government of India to those who have served the nation in the most distinct manner. This year the award will be given to the two most distinguished leaders of Indian polity Atal Vihari Bajpayee and Sri Madan Mahan Malviya. There is no need of reference for these two in India asVajpayee served three times as PM of India and Malviya ji as nationalist leader was elected four times as the President of the Congress. He has also founded Banaras Hindu University.

This award is the highest civilian award given for exceptional services in the public life and it was constituted in 1954 and the first recipients were Rajgopalachari, C.V.Raman and Sri Radhakrishnan. In 1955 it was conferred to Pandit Nehru. As regards to it present recipient Sri Atal Vihari Bajpayee was born in 1924 in Gwaliar district of MP and is known for his oratory skills and political inclusiveness. He became member of the Lok Sabha in 1957 and looking at his political skills and oration Pandit Nehru said that one day this leader will become PM of India. This became true in 1996 when he became PM for thirteen days as his government failed to prove majority in the House. He again became PM in 1998 for the thirteen months and his government again fell down due to lack of majority by one vote. Finally he ran government from 1999 to 2004 as NDA leader.

Political reactions on conferring Bharat Ratna to Mr Bajpayee are encouraging and leaders from across the parties have welcomed the decision of the government. However according to many political thinkers it is late to recognize contributions of such a great leader with no blemish on his 51 years of political career. Unfortunately, today he is not even in a position to express his happiness as after stroke in 2009, he is unable to speak and even fails to recognize people. It is reason why people across the political parties had demanded Bharat Ratna for him since long.

He is a true freedom fighter and was jailed for participating in1942 Quit India Movement but was released after tweny one days on tbe promise that he will not participate in anti government movements but that was only for moment as he was an active member of anti British movement in India. After independence he joined RSS and later on he was made Serectrary General of Bhartiya Jan Singh . Again in 1975 he was sent to the jail for opposing Emergency  .After formation of Janata Party he became External Minister in 1977.He is known for his speech in Hindi in the UNO.

As regards to Madan Mohan Malviya the second recipient of Bharat Ratna is concerned, he is a true champion of Indian ideology and patriotism. The founder of BHU is known for his love for independent India. Many people may not be knowing that Satyameva Jayte slogan on Bharat Stham was suggested by Malviya ji and Ganges was diverted towards Haridwar due to efforts of Malviya ji.He started the practice of Aarti on the ghats of Ganga in Haridwar that still see it today. He also served as the Congress President four times I in1909, ,1918 1932 and 1933 and was regarded as a great nationalist leader and supporter of Hindi. He impressed with his speech in 1886 in the second annual meeting of the Congress where he spoke for 4 hours.

He founded BHU in 1916 with Annei Besent for which land was donated by the king of Banaras and other people. He remained VC of BHU till 1936.He was also the chief Editor ofHHindustan Times and was responsible for its Hindi edition. He advocated for Hindi being the national language and also founded Hindu Maha Sabha and Scout India. His contributions to the nation are numerous and he will be always remembered for his nationalist approach.

Bloody Face Of Terrorism in Pakistan

Pakistan suffered the worst type of terrorist attack on 16th December 2014 when Taliban terrorists attacked army school in Peshawar killing 132 students and ten more people. This attack by the terrorists is the worst in the history of terrorism and it crossed all the limits of inhuman behavior. According to the spoke person of Pakistani Taliban Muhammad Khurasani this attack is retaliation of military action in Waziristan area against them and they wanted to teach a lesson to the peopl who are opposed to their ideology. Accordingly  the Taliban says that actually they have removed evils from the education it ystem is they feel anti Islamic. It is hard to believe that in the twenty first century in which world these people are living and which type of civilization they want to create. The world community reacted sharply on this barbaric act and in India all the schools decided to keep two minutes silence.

Justifying killing of hundreds of innocent children in the name of ideology or for teaching a lesson to the Pakistani military is nonsense logic. It is a heart breaking thing to see that the students who went in the morning , there were 132 dead bodies in the afternoon. Street full of crying parents, and the school full of scattered bodies , books and other things belonging to the students. People are crying and that saying for God sake now stop this bloody story and blood bath of innocent people. They have many questions as why to target innocent children who are not the part of any political battle. These terrorists must listen what the youth are saying that they sacrificed their lives for better tomorrow. What is even more surprising that these terrorists were asking whether their father is a military man. This hatred towards military can well be understood but why such hatred towards innocent children.

Root cause of the present day problem is the divisive politics played by various parties in Pakistan.  Politicians divided Taliban into Good Taliban and Bad Taliban. And a large section of Pakistani army is also supporting Taliban. Pakistani army uses Taliban against different countries especially India. In1994 when Taliban came into existence to fight against USSR forces then Pakistan and Saudi Arabia supported them but at that time these countries were not aware that one day this will become a destructive force .In fact Pakistan even after many destructive and devastating experiences is not ready to understand that mixing terrorism and military policies will be self destructive and slowly will even eat up its civil administration setup.

Tahreek e Taliban of Pakistan(TTP)  was initially founded by Baitullah Mehsud in 2007 in a meeting of 40terrorists leaders of Pakhtul clan to propagate Deobandi ideology and to  establish islamic state and  but with the passage of time  TTP changed its face and declared itself as fighters against foreign occupation of Afghanistan and it was well supported by the Pakistani army. But later on this organisation started interfering in the domestic politics and then the military and the government got alarmed and the new Pakistani army chief decided to start military offensive against TTP in Waziristan province. As a result , previous equation between army and TTP got disturbed and the present attack may be a reaction to that.

In Pakistan politics is very much affected by terrorists orgsnisations and their political out fits.Like political party of Imran Khan which is ruling in Peshawar  has an understanding with TTP rather better to say that it has blessings of TTP, therefore, it was very lenient towards its activities.Similarily in Punjab province Nawaz Sharif brother is CM and  Taliban of this area is responsible for anti India terrorists activities and is called Good Taliban. On the other hand terrorists organisations operating at FATA area are opposed to Pakistani army, therefore they are called Bad Taliban for Pakistan and it is this group of terrorists who are responsible for attacks in Pakistan.
Socially too Pakistan is divided into three groups Punjabi, Sindhi and Baluchi and Pakhtuni tribals. Both Pakistani civil administration and army are unable to control its tribal population and this area bordering with Afghanistan is the real trouble for Pakistani administration. It is this area where hundreds of terrorists outfits are oprational and donot fallow any law.

Modi Magic in America

Modi visit to US is historical in many ways as  it is a step to bring two big democracies together to shape the future of a new world order.  The dynamism of Indo US relationship rest in the intensity at both the sides to develop a strategic cooperation in the economic and military sectors. Both the countries are aware of the fact that a solid relationship canonot be build on conditionalities and exceptionalities in the changed world order.Although Modi decided to visit SAARC countries and then Japan and US visit was planned for September 2014.It might looked as neglect of traditional partner and a break away from the traditional practice in foreign affairs but it is better to view this visit with a global eyes. Modi planned his visit in the month of September so as to do all necessary home work for meeting with the leader of a super power . Actually Modi knows the importance of his visit both politically and economically. Speaking like a true Stateman he bamboozled world leaders in UN General Assembly and demanded more democratic set up of UNO in the 21st century. He has  aslo shown door to his Pskistani counterpart Nawaz Shariff on the issue of Kashmir and said there cannot be multilateral solution to a bilateral problem. He raised issue of environmental protection and demsnded greater cooperation from the developed nations.

When he landed on the soil of US then among a few things that he has planned was to visit the ground Zero to pay homage to the victims of 9/11; but this was to give a massage to the world community that today the greatest threat is global expansion of terrorism and there can't be a selective counter terrorism policy. When other leaders of the world were discussing about their domestic matters or regional issues , Modi gave a comprehensive statement that there cannot be good terrorism and a bad terrorism. This massage goes deep as it questions US policy towards fighting terrorism.

After that his program at Madison Square is one of the memorable moment of Indo-US relationship as it made US to feel Modi magic. Both US and India know that sharing a good economic and strategic relationship is equally important for them for maintaining balance in both Asia and the world as wishes of India can't be ignored in the world affairs. Therefore no doubt Modi government has taken some time to decide its priorities with US before rushing to US as a traditional practice. By doing so  Modi should not live under an impression that US will do whatever India feels good for its country but Modi must state and stand for Indian interests very firmly and positively. He announced that visa rules will be simplified and NRI will now get life time visa.Modi appealed to Indians living in US to come forward and give their contributions in nation building. There be red carpet in the place of red tappism.

Now US must be in more positive frame work as its has to control growing strength of China in Asia snd it is not possible without India's support. Further more there are many irritants in Indo-US relationship such as Nuclear Liability treaty, Food subsidy, transfer of Fifth generation technology etc.but both sides will be looking forward to short out these problems. At the same time there are issues of economic treaty and sale of military equipments to India. But Modi is more interested in co production and joint ventures rather than the mere sale of arms. Why so because due to opening of defence sector for FDI now India will be more interested in technological development than being a good purchaser of arms.
So when Obama and Modi meet on 29th September then it will be a great mental game and the final outcome will be decisive for both the nations.

Coalgate :A Failure Of Our Economic System

The judgment of Supreme Court in the Coal Scam or Coalgate to declare 216 coal mines as illegal ,is an eye opener for any democratic system as it not only indicates how private sector in the post reform period has manipulated economic system for its personal growth but also corrupted the government , its ministers and officials to satisfy its over growing desire to expand the industrial empire at the cost of common man. The judgment also provides an opportunity to learn how to manage private sector which is never willing to shoulder nation building responsibility and when it does something then that has huge national cost in the form of illegal exploitation of natural resources. At the same time , the judgment also gives a knee jurk to those people who didn't have care for national interests. It is shocking to note that politicians and private firms devised a new term Captive blocks to loot of natural resources.

For the first time,Coal scam came into the limelight when advocate M.L.Sharma and members of an NGO"Common Cause" filed a PIL in the Supreme Court alleging a large scale violation of rules and procedures in the process of allotting coal mines to them who don't fulfill criteria or who are not eligible to get coal blocks . After that CAG reports on the Coal Ministery pointed out that there is a large scale of loot of public money amounting to Rs.1860000lacs crores. It  increased the political temperature of the country and opposition party especially BJP led scathing attacks on theUPA government.Hearing a PIL, the Supreme Court ordered a CBI enquiry into the Coalgate scam and even directed CBI to report to it directly when UPA government tried to influence the CBI to save certain people. The role of CBI in the Coalgate investigation was also under doubt as the Supreme Court called it a parrot. On the several occassions CBI under the political influence tried to save certain people and even challenged CVC recommendation to file cases against 14 major beneficiaries like Jindal Power, Adani , Jaiswal group, Aditya Birla group etc.
CAG commented on the changes in the procedure on the allotment of coalmines as -

"It was only in August 2006 that the Department of Legal Affairs opined that competitive bidding could be introduced through administrative instructions. However, the same Department also opined that legislative amendments would be required for placing the proposed process on a sound legal footing. In a meeting held in September, 2006, Secretary, Department of Legal Affairs categorically opined that having regard to the nature and scope of the relevant legislation, it would be most appropriate to achieve the objective through amendment to the Mines and Minerals (Development &;Regulation) Act."

It all happened in 1993 when the government decided to amend section 3 (3) of Coal Mines Nationalization Act to enable the coal mining for the private sector companies for captive use for Power, Steel and Cement plants as end users. It will be done through  with competitive bidding and transferred the onus of allotting coal mines through the screening committee on the basis of first come , first serve. All other government followed the same policy but twisted it scope to suit their favorites. In the meantime the government on the recomendation of the Investment Commission headed by Ratan Tata dereserved 43coal mines of CIL and these mines were opened for bidding for the private firms through Screening Committee. Lster on it was observed by the Supreme Court "The Screening Committee has never been consistent, it has not been transparent, there is no proper application of mind, it has acted on no material in many cases relevant factors have seldom been its guiding factors."

We all know that Narasimha Rao government was managing the majority on the outside support and MP's of JMM whose leader Shibu Soren was the coal minister and most of the illegalities were committed  or initiated at that times. Coal Ministery all of a sudden became a creamy and very luracative ministery and all the heay weight politicians tried to grab it.Other were just following what was done earlier to suit their desire. During the NDA regime there was no change in the policy matter or they never wanted to change the previous government policy on the allocation of the coal blocks to private firms. The worst was even to come when the very clause of end users was ignored and now it became clear that any one having Influence in the government can get a coal blocks. All of a sudden with the arrival of UPA at the center provided great  impetus for privatisation and liberalisation of coal mining sector. All the successive coal ministers tried to manipulate procedural guidlines to help their near and dear or who was ready to fulfill their demand. It led to a massive loot of natural resouces on the one hand and increased import of coal on the other. It is nothing but double damage to the economy.

In March 2012 the CAG Draft Report accused government of inefficient allocation of coal blocks during 2004-09 leading to a windfall gains of Rs. 10.7lakhs crores. It created furores in the country and  Prakash Javadekar and Hansraj Ahir filed a case with CVC demanding a full fledged enquiry into the scam . Finally the case shifted to the Supreme Court which delivered its judgment ststing that 216coal mines are illegal and the license of these mines should be canceled.

What seems to be of great interest is that how did governments after government allowed loot of natural resources by the private players by twisting the plocy guidelines.Again there is a big question Does Liberalization create an environment in which  all these corrupt practices are allowed or these scams are natural outcome of our system? Or these scams are the outcome of a nexus between private firms, politicians and beurocrats who diveded their respective shares under the guise of Economic reforms. No less is responsible the PM Manmohan Singh under whose nose everything had happened and who blissfully remained a mere spectator and a true follower of 10Janpath.

And his replies in the Parliament are more astonishing. He said" Let me humbly submit that even if we accept CAG's contention that benifits accrued to private companies , their computations can be questioned on no. of technical points The CAG has computed financial gains to pvt.parties as being the difference between the average sale price and the cost of production of CIL of the estimated extractable reserves of the allocated coal blocks.
Firstly computation of extractabe reserves based on acerages would not be correct.Secondly, the cost of production of coal varies significantly from mines to mines even for CIL due to varying geo-mining conditions, methods of extraction, surface features, no.of settlements, availability of infrastructure etc.Thirdly, CIL has been generally mining in the areas with better infrastructure and more favorable mining conditions where as the coal blocks for captive mining are with more difficult geographical conditions.
Fourthly, a point of the gains would be in any case get appropriated by the govt.through taxation and ubder MNDR Bill, presentlybeing considered by the Parliament,26% of the profits earned on coal mining operations would have to be made available for local area development.
Therefore aggregating the purported financial gains to the pvt.parties merely on the basis of the average production cost and sake price of CIL could be highly misleading. Moreover as the coal blocks were allocated to pvt  companies for captive purposes for specified end users it wouldnot be appropriate to link the allocated blocks to the price of coal set by CIL.

The whole story of coal scam gets even more clear when a PM who was also in charge of the Coal Ministery was defending pvt.parties on flimsy grounds and was criticising CAG for its accounting procedures. And one of the biggest beneficisry was none other than a cabinet minister Naveen Jindal company and many others were from different political parties. Not only the politicians and government officials but the role of middlemen and lobbyists became very dominant in getting coalmines to the both deserving and non deserving industrialists by influencing and manipulating the rules. The role  of lobbyists like Nira Radia and others needs to be examined thruoghly .

Flash points in the Indo-Pak Relationship

The relationship between India and Pakistan has never been friendly and supporting but both the nations tried to maintain a fine balance keeping in the view of regional peace in mind. But in recent years it often happens that tension builds up and cross border firings starts whenever there is  a chance of building friendly relationship. Some political analysts may subscribe this tendency as the establishment related problems but root causes of such an uneasy relationship requires a more in depth analysis. Since independence Pakistan had never been on the  peaceful terms with India. In1947-48 there were nomadic attacks on India and Pakistan declared its intention of claiming Kashmir to be the integral part of its territory or at least making Kashmir to be  a disputed territory. Since then there is a proxy war going on.In between there were two wars on the large scale and a small scale war of Kargil and in the all three wars Pakistan was badly defeated.

After the war of 1971Pakistan realised that an open war with India is not a solution to its greater design of creating trouble for India therefore Pakistan decided to go for proxy war through terrorism and terrorists attacks. The period after 1972 remained little bit calm but political and military changes in Pakistan were very anxious to take revenge of three consecutive humiliating  defeats in the wars.As a result a new strategy was designed and devised ie of proxy war through terrorists attacks. The first trial of the new strategy wss experimented in Punjab during 1980's when separatists were encouraged and supported under a flagship demand for Khalistan. It not only disturbed Indian intelligence agencies but also the political class who failed to counter it for a long period and this encouraged Pakistan to further intensify its efforts. However after the Blue Star Operation and death of Indira Gandhi demand for the Khalistan lost its glaze and police operation have broken the backbone of the movement.

Now Pakistan got the idea that it can start such separatist movements if religious beliefs are flared and a proper place is chosen and nothing can be a better place than Kashmir where accessability is more easy and ground is more fertile. Therefore the attention shifted from other places to Kashmir. Since then terrorists activities in Kashmir are on the rise and India is unable to find out a suitable solution to the problem of displaced KashmiriPandits. The successive governments both at the center and state are unable to deliver decisive policy measures to the people of Kashmir. On the other hand Pakistan was able to develop a group of separatists who have a soft corner and in the return they get all possible help from Pakistan.

Time and again to create pressure on India , Pakistan creates hostilities at the border and often breaks Cease Fire on the LOC.The recent violations of cease fire in R.S.Pura and other areas are for creating pressure on India after the postponement of secretary level talks. Pakistan military establishment doesn't want a peaceful border and friendly relationship with India as it doesn't fit in its greater design of creating unrest in India. Although PM Modi started his  tenure at a very positive note by inviting all the heads of State from SAARC but it didn't go well with Pakistan as it was feeling troubled by rise of Modi stature. To interrupt the visit of Pakistan PM on the occasion of oath taking ceremony, Indian Embassy in Afghanistan was attacked but that too didn't deter Modi from his vision of including SAARC nations in the development process of Asia.
Pakistan itself is in a troubled state as Taliban terrorists are challenging the authority of the government. Internal troubles are rising at the alarming scale. Future seems to be very difficult for Pakistan.
The government of Nawaz Sharif is facing a serious threat from internal forces like Imran Khan and his supporters who are laying a seize in the capital. And this created once again a great opportunity for the army to play its role in the civil and political matters.Naturally to ease out internal tension Pakistani army once again creating a war fobia with India to divert the attention of the people.
The present disturbance in the Indo-Pak relationship can be also attributed to recent development like military disliking for Nawaz Shariff visit to India and to counter this friendly development Imran Khan and Qadari were encouraged start anti govt. movement. All members of Pakistan Tahreek e Imam(PTI) resigned in ptrotest and supporters of PTI and PTA moved towards Red Zone in Islamabad. As usually army got the upper hand and requested the government to talk with Imran Khan and Qadari to bring peace. At the same time this is the last month when the terrorists can cross the border.According to intelligence reoprts , large number of terrorists are waiting on different sectors of Pakistan to cross the border under disturbed situation.

Malaysian Airlines Tragedy:A Terror InThe Sky

Shooting down the Malaysian Airlines plane by terrorists in Ukrainian territory is really very shocking incident in modern times as298 people have lost their lives without any crime.Ukrainian crisis has ritsulted into the complete turmoil in this part of Europe and continued fight has badly damaged administrative machinery, political control and social order in this region. As explained in my blog Ukrainian crisis or Beginning of the second revolution that foul play of vested Western interest groups and counter strategy of Russian block has created a volatile situation in Ukraine.

The unfortunate Malaysian Plane MH17was on its regular flight from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur on the busy rout when it was shot  down by missile by Russian rebel group over Donetsk at the altitude of 33000 feets.Initially the insurgents group denied shooting down of the plane but its top leader Igor Strelkov later on admitted that rebels have shot down the plane under mistaken identity of Ukrainian AN-26 military plane.

Malaysia had suffered badly this year as it is the second plane of its airline that has met with the tragic end.Afew months ago its flight MH370 disappeared and till today there is no clue of its disappearance.Malaysian PM has announced an enquiry into the incident and promised the people thst responsible persons will be brought to justice. There is a shok wave in the world as it is among some most dastardly acts of world airline history. In 1973 a Libyan plane was shot down killing 113 passengers, then in 1979 Air Rhodesiaand in1983Korean Airlines plane was shot down.Similarly in 1988 an Iranian plane was also dhot down killing 290 passengers.

As a result of this shooting down major airlines have changed their rout .Us has imposed harsher restrictions on Russia and assuref Malaysian government for all possible support.Majority of the passengers belong to Netherlands and Malaysia. Only one crew member is reported to be from India.UNSC has asked for an independent enquiry and guilty should be brought to justice.Ukrainian government has blamed Russian supported rebels for this dastardly act but Russia has put the blame on Ukrainian army.As this blame game continued there is uproar in the world community over this inhuman act.It is an important thing to note that why did the shooting down take place after BRICS meeting where an important decision was taken by to form BRICS BANK.Is it a move to trap Russia and put more sanctions on it?

It was also  reported that an AI plane was also behind the fateful Malaysian plane. One intrguing question is still to be answered why did International Aviation Agency allow to operate on this route when it knows thst eastern Ukraine is a war zone and such shooting down of planes was earlier reported? The Buk missile used in shooting down of the plane is used by both Russian rebels and Ukrainian military so it will be really difficult to find out who has carried out the attack.

Palestine Crisis: An Unholy War For A Holy Land

The recent crisis in the Middle East between Israel  and Palestine may at the surface appear to be started due to the killing of the three youth of Israel but its root causes are different from what appears at the surface. Two Nations Israel and Palestine are fighting the battle of self determination and dominance over the disputed Holy Land of Jerusalem. The dispute between people of Palestine and Israel over the Jerusalem city ,Gaza Strip and West Bank areas is century old .To solve this problem in 1947 the UNSC  recommended that Western Palestine should be partitioned into a Jewish State,an Arab dominated Palestine State and a UN controlled Territory around Jerusalem. It led to declaration of creation of the State of Israel and the same day United Armies of seven Arab States invaded Israel but they were badly defeated and Israel annexed the territory more than what it was proposed for Jewish State.

In 1949 Jordon,Syria,Lebnon and Egypt signed Armistic Agreement with Israel under which Gaza Strip,West Bank were occupied by Egypt and Jordon annexed East Jerusalem. This War led to exodus of 711000 Palestine Arabs from the area.Later on Israel passed several laws to prevent Palestinians to return their home land and claiming property and even Arab States also denied rights of people of Palestine to return which created a problem of Palestine Refugees .In Israel it is known as Ethnic Cleansing through which it legally and ilegally allowed Jewish settkements in occupied areas of Palestine. The war also led to return of 850000 jews from Arab world. And it created a permanent flash point between Israel and Palestine and further led to the second Arab-Israel War in 1971.The people who deserted their home land are claiming their rights on West Bank ,Bolan hights and Gaza Strips but Israel claims that the area belongs to it and as a result people of Palestine have formed Palestine Liberation Organization(PLO) led by Yasser Arafat to fight for their rights.

                                    Map of Israel and Palastine
But the fight between Palestine and Israel has its another historical dimensions. The roots of the present day fight can be traced back to 19th century with the rise of Nationalist Movements like Zionism andArab Nationalism. The word Zionism is derived from the name of a hill called Zion near Jerusalem. The main cause of beginning of Zionism movement in Europe and other parts of the world was Anti Semitism which led to execution of Jews population all over the Europe. Therefore Zionist movement called for the establishment of a nation State.Zionism movement was started by Theodor Herzl in 1897. Jewish State in Palestine, considered to be located on the Holy Land and serve as a Haven for the Jewish people. According to Judaism,Christianity and Islam Erets Israel is a land promised by God to the Jews ;therefore they have a duty to fulfill God's will.

The Jews who were expelled from Palestine by Roman but they have also suffered when Babyloinians
n
captured Israel in 586BC and they also destroyed the First Temple of Jews.As a result Jews went to all over the world for their survival but whenever policy of the State was anti Jews they suffered the worst kind of massacre, execution and humiliation. The historical references of establishment of Zionist State in Jerusalem has been an strong religious desire of Jewis movement for more tgan a millenium, but it was also in conflict with Arab Nationalism. As a result there have been anti Jews attacks and riots in 1882 onwards. An adventurous Jew Cresson established the first Jews settlement near Jerusalem in1850 by puchasing land.Surprisingly he was contested to be a lunatic by his wife and children. In 1903 Zionist Congress declined a British offer for establishing Jewish home land in Uganda.Russian Jews  forced Britain to reconsider the demand for establishment of Jewish home land in Palestine and it came in the form Balfour Declaration in 1917 and in 1922 the League of Nations adopted the Declaration and granted mandate to Britain the Palestine Mandate.
The First meet of World Zionist Organistion
Growth of Zionism  in Palestine has been a matter of contention between Jews and Arabs abd Amin al Husayni the leader of Supreme Muslim Council instigated anti Jews riots in Hebron and Safed in which thoudand of Jews were killed and their property was vandalised. Duringthe 1936-39  Arab revolt in Palestine Amin al Husaynee joibed Nazi military operation in the region of Palestineand even Hilter promised that he would eliminate the existing Jewish foundations in Palestine after the victory in the war. IIin resulted into appointment of many commissions out of which the Peel Commission for the first time reconmended two state solution. After the World War UN tried to solve the ussue if Palestine but situation got worse because Fedayeen groups were formed to fight againt Israel.Fedayeen used the technique of pelting stones.

Zionism also sought to assimilate with the modern world but due to ethnic cleaning approach ,UNO in 1975 passed a resolution declaring Zionism as a form of Racism and Racial Discrimination but later on in 1991 the resolution was removed. The unholy story of formation of Israel continued and fight for Home Land of Palestine people also became more bloody. In 1973 the Syrian and Egyptian armies started a surprise attack on Israel and in the first two days they made good advances butlater on the momentum shifted in the favor of Israel and on UN intervention a ceasefire was signed to end the war.It also led to Camp David Accords in 1978 for future negotiations.

The PLO and other terrorist organization also hijacked an Air France Plane in 1976and flown to Uganda where they threatened to kill 100Jews but in a commando operation Israel not only rescued its people but killed all the hijackers.Again in 1978 more than one dozen Palestinians terrorist entered through sea in Israel and they hijacked a bus and killed thirty seven civilians.Israel finally ended the ceasefire when an assassination attempt was made on its Ambassador in Britain in1982and attacked Lebnon to protect its boarder in the North.Israel captured Beirut ,the capital of Lebnon and finally under international pressure it allowed Arafat and Fahat to go to Tunis.During the war Israel and Phalangist Christan Arab Militia carried out the bloody Sabra and Shatila Massacre killing about three thousand innocent Palestine people. The Palestine further suffered a jolt when 200000 Palestinians were ordered to leave Kuwait after Gulf War due to association of Arafat with Saddam Hussein and it also led cutting of the funds to PLO which brought PLO to the brink of a crisis.
Israeli PM with Cliton and Arafat

In the meantime Hamas was founded  as an alternatve organisation by Ahmed Yassin andAbdel Aziz al-Rantissi to lead armed resistance against Israel.In1993US president Bill Clinton ,Israel PM Yitzhak Rabin and PLO leader Yasser Arafat met  in Oslo and decided to work on the two nation theory. It led to the establishment of the Palestinian Authority over Gaza Strip and West Bank and many components of a modern day government were formed. In the return the Palestinians were asked to show more tolerance towards Israel. But due to pressure at both the sides ,there were many attacks and counter attacks.Once again  on September 28,Robin and Arafat signed the Israel-Palestine Intrime Aggreement on the area of West Bank and Gaza Strip but in the Israel there was great opposition to the concessions given to Palestine and it led to Assassination of PM Rabin on 4thNovember 1995. In 1996 elections Benjamin Netanyahu became the PM and he was opposed to concessions to be made to the Palestine and the status of Jerusalem. In 1999 Barak became PM of Israel who continued the policy of Rabin .Barak ,Bill Clinton and Arafat once again met in July 2000 atCamp David and here Arafat failed to make a historical move despite given a good opportunity to settle the issue.

After the death of Arafat ,the whole PLO movement came under hardliners of Hamas who are fighting against Israel through arms  and funds supplied by Iran,Syria and other Arab countries.A fragile six months truce was signed between Hamas and Israel a d it ended in 2008.The Israeli arny started once again targeting civilians. And present day fights are outcome of this continued war. No doubt killing of three Israeli yougths is bad but what Israel is doing is barbaric.More then 300 innocent civilians have died in rocket attacks and many more injured. Both the Supper Powers US and Russia are watching the ongoing fight and UN has simply requested to refrain from violence.

                                             Hamas leader killed by Israel

The crux of the problem is that Israel has its geographical designs and the people of Palestine have their fundamental and basic problem of home land lost to a coutry which is not listening to the world community.Israel has dropped leaflets asking residents to leave the cities of West Bank and GazaStrip as it suspects thst the terrorists are firing rockets from these areas and therefore Israel will launch attacks.Recently  the number of casualties of children has increased creating shockwaves in the world and acts of Israel is being criticised by human right organisations.

Vaidik Meeting With Hafiz Saeed:A Political Bluder Of New Government

The recent meeting of a so called Indian journalist Mr Ved Pratap Vaidik ,with Hafiz Saeed in Pakistan has raised political temperature in India as it has disrupted both the houses of Parliament. As opposition parties are clamoring for strong action against Mr.Vaidik because he has not only defied normal moral practices and code of conduct of a journalist but his actions are also not in the interest of the nation. Mr. Vaidik has loose credentials as he is a political honey bee and had to leave PTI under doubtful circumstances. There are many questions which are not only intriguing but shocking for the nation as in what capacity a person who has nothing to do with the foreign policy matters and has no credentials of holding a position in the government ,has audacity to go to a neighboring country and discuss the matters on which neither he has any authority nor he has any role to play.

The whole visit of Pakistan is even more intriguing as it included members like ManiShankar Ayer ,Salman Khurshid the ex-foreign minister and sixty eight other members including Mr.Vaidik on the invitation of Regional Peace Institute of Islamabad The delegation went there for regional cultural exchange .Surprisingly the institute has  former ISI chief Assad Durrani as a member of its board. He is the person resonsible for sponsoring attacks on pandits in Jammu and Kashmir. When other members of the delegation returned Mr.Vaidik stayed back in Pakistan and visited many places against the normal Visa rules. His meeting with JUD leader Hafiz Saeed was arranged by a Pakistani journalist as claimed by Mr.Vaidik but he must kidding as Saeed is at the top of the list of World terrorist and US has placed huge amount of money on his head, and he is not accessible to even top journalists then how did a common looking Pakistani journalist was able to arrange the meeting in just on a phone call.People   must know that in Pakistan it is easier to PM or President but not Hafiz Saeed as it requiresISI and military clearance.

people may not be knowing background of Hafiz Saeed. He Iis the head of JUD a terrorist organisation and he had committef many heinous crimes agsinst India including attacks on Indian Parliament and Bombay 26/11.He is involved in many terrorist attacks and US has set a bounty of ten million US dollars on his head.He is an international absconder and an international terrorist.
Even more interesting is his arrival at Saeed's place and his prolonged meeting with the most wanted terrorist of India. There are no record and recordings of this meeting except what Mr.Vaidik has said after posting his picture with Saeed in social media.Mr.Vaidik as a journalist  is known for his self boasting and developing relationship with the politicians has also met Pakistani PM and a few leaders, but it is beyond imagination of a common man that how did he dare to sit along the most wanted terrorist and a man who always conspires to break India by waging a terror war.The logic forwarded by Mr.Vaidik that he wanted to read his mind and know his views on Modi visit to Pakistan. Why Mr.Vaidik who has given you this authority? And if it is a part of Track2 or Track3 Diplomacy then it is shocking as the new government seems to be in a great hurry toconsolidate its position in post US evacuation from Afghanistan.

If Mr.Vaidik could have stopped here then it was ok but he imposed him as the representative of the government and blasted him of his closeness with Indian PM and prevailed upon leaders in Pakistan to engage with him in serious talk.As a result of this the Indian High Commission has organized a press conference for him and speaking to a Pakistani journalist he said what he shouldn't have uttered in his wildest dream. He suggested a Iftekhar Sirazi that Kashmir and POK should be united and freedom should be given to Kashmiri people. What type of freedom you are talking Mr.Vaidik as people of Kashmir has their elected representatives and assembly and enjoying same freedom ss you are.
This clearly amounts to the sedition against India and he should be dealt with appropriate law.No body from India can be allowed to speak about dividing the country and correcting history according to his or her imagination. Now finally the government has made its position clear that it has nothing to do with such extra constitutional activities and Kashmir remains and will remain an integral part of the country. However inaction of government for such an act speaks volumes about his proximity with government establishment and a so called Yoga guru. When Yasin Mallik met Hafiz Saeed then BJP talked in highest volume and demanded stern actions then why not the same should be done with Ved Pratap Vaidik.

And defenseless Vaidik is talking all types of nonsense. He has asked in his so calked interview that how many wives Saeed has and what are his future plans ?Who will buy this theory and immature arguments? The government has to act now as Mr.Vaidik's extra constitutional act has not only put India national security at threat but he has also played in the hands of ISI as without its connivance it is not possible to meet such a high profile terrorist leader. Therefore question arises whose agenda Mr.Vaidik was carrying out? What prompted him to meet a terrorist whose hand are red with blood of innocent people?

Controversy on Article 370

In the recent times often some political parties especially BJP have raised the issue of Article 370 of Indian constitution under which special protection and privileges have been given to the people of Jammu and Kashmir. The Article370 of Indian Constitution is a law that grants special autonomous status to Jammu andKashmir and it is drafted in Part XXI of the Constitution which relates to Temporary,Transitional and Special Provisions. Now controversy related to this Special Provision for Jammu and Kashmir is nothing new because time and again this issue is raised to create sensationalism in political circle. Those who are unaware of ground reality of the Kashmir issue may imagine that a single stroke is just needed to change historical blunder as they call about Article370 but any constructive and meaningful debate on Article370 requires a separation of myth from reality and facts from fiction. One has to look into the volatile situation of 1947 and criminal design of British government to disintegrate India into various parts so that in the near future their political ambition is fulfilled. The then Governor Mountbatten played a critical and crucial role in the partition of India and also pursuaded Indian leadership to go to the UNO to seek seizefire and to maintain peace in Kashmir. However it proved to be a great blunder on the part of India as it led to internationalisation of Kashmir issue.

The process of Partition of the country was fixed on the religious lines to complicate the issue further and atmosphere at that time never allowed any political thinker to take gross reality into the consideration and their views and ideas fondled and toppled according to the changing situations. As Pakistan was claiming Jammu and Kashmir to be its part and King Hari Singh was not very committal on the issue of accession into Union of India, therefore Nehru and his cabinet decided to make some concessions to both Hari Singh and Sheikh Abdullah and other members from  Jammu and Kashmir in the Constituent Assembly including Mirza  Afzal Beg and Maulana Masoodi. However Sadar Patel was not in favor of any such arrangements in which Jammu and Kashmir was becoming a part of India but not recognizing sone important provisions of Constitution such as Fundamental Rights and Directive Principles of State Policy. But situation was so tricky and volatile that tge government conceded this demand of Sheikh Abdullah that people of Jammu and Kashmir will live under a separate laws relating to Citizenship;Ownership of property and fundamental rights as compared to other Indian citizens.Only matters related to Defence,Foreign Affairs and Communication and Ancillary matters as specified in the Instruments of Accession will be applicable to Jammu and Kashmir

Now the question of Article370 and its implementation must be viewed in regards to historical back ground ,not on myths and fictions which often give a different color to the whole issue. No doubt there was divergent opinion between Nehru and Patel on this matter.Patel wanted a permanent solution to the problem of Jammu&Kashmir but Nehru was in a state of confusion and he did not want to complicate the issue so he appointed V.Ayangar an ICS official to negotiate with Sheikh Abdullah on the issue of merger of Jammu and Kashmir into India.India was facing fire on the two fronts ;from Pakistan which claimed Jammu and Kashmir as its part and internal rebellion from Sheikh Abdullah who wanted independent State of Jammu and Kashmir. Sheikh Abdullah pushed his demand to the extreme that Mr.Ayanger became frustrated and he wrote to Nehru that he is finding it difficult to meet demands of Sheikh Abdullah. At that time Nehru was in US and he rquested Patel to look into the matter. When Patel got Sheikh Abdullah settled then Contituent Assembly members outrightly rejected the proposal to give special treatment to a particular state.Somehow Patel was able to convince the members of the Constituent Assembly on the issue of Article370 and it was approved by it.After that Patel said to his PA you see Nehru will have to cry for what he has done. What we have today is not the whole Kashmir but its large parts are still under control of Pakistan and China. The tragic story of Kashmir is never ending as governments after government failed to take strong stand on this issue and merely created hype about the situation.

Much fiction prevails about autonomous status granted under Article370 as such provisions are also granted to many hilly areas of India including Himachal Pradesh.Furthermore the autonomy enjoyed by Jammu and Kashmir is a shadow if its former self as Ordinance issued by the the President have limited it to a large extent. At the same times many judgments regarding the status of women have clearly removed any doubts that a woman marrying any non Kashmiri will loose her status of permanent citizen. As regards to Iimposition of Article 356,prior approval of the State Assembly is required. There are some complications on the issues like Jammu and Kashmir having its own flag and citizenship laws. Many argue that why are these special privileges given to thisState only. Are they promoting separatist feelings?
The issue of revoking Article370 unilaterally is very complicated and it is not possible as for that we require a new Constituent Assembly of the State however the Parliament has tge power to change this situation and provision. Therefore, time and again the clamoring that the Article 370 should be removed and Jammu&Kashmir should be made a full fledged State of India like all other States may not be wise step rightnow.Historical blunders cannot be solved with another mistake as it will internationalise this issue.Rather slowly we should try to involve people of Jammu&Kashmir in the mainstream and it will weaken the influence of separatist forces .

Modi Visit to Bhutan: A New Dimension Of India's Foreign Policy

Indian Prime Minister first foreign visit to a neighboring country Bhutan marks a new era in the foreign policy matters and a break from the traditional practice of visiting the big and developed countries. From its very beginning the new government has set its agenda clear that it prefers good relationship with neighboring countries and as a result on the oath taking ceremony all the  heads of SAARC nations were invited. It is a new beginning since India feels that without regional cooperation and development, its own development prospects are under threat and therefore all the SAARC nations should be taken into consideration and due importance is to be given to the regional problems.

As Narendra Modi decided to visit Bhutan for a two days , as his first official tour many people may be wondering as to what is going on in the minds of makers of Indias' s foreign policy but for Modi and his government it is quite natural  because Bhutan is our natural friends and trusted allies. At the same time, since China is trying to develop close relationship with Bhutan, therefore, it is strategically important that India should assert its position in Bhutan .China has started building ports in Sri Lanka and Bangladesh and now trying to extend incircle India policy to Bhutan also, therefore Modi decision to visit Bhutan will not only strenthen India's position in this region but also save Bhutan from falling under Chinese influence.

PM Narendra Modi landed on Paro airport and was received by his counterpart Tshering Tobgay. From there he took road journey to reach Bhutani capital Thimpu and on the way he was greeted by the large number of people. The visit is very important as India wishes to ensure that in future energy supply from Bhutan is uninterrupted. India also assured Bhutan that it will held Bhutan to produce 10000 MW of hydral electricity by providing both financial and technological help . India futher assured Bhutan that it will double the amount of scholarship given to Bhutani students. Bhutan also assured India that it will not allow anti Indian forces to operate from its land.To promote regional cooperation Modi suggested that India , Bhutan and Nepal should organize an annual hill sports meet to promote cultural bonding among them.

Modi also addressed Parliament of Bhutan and assured the members and people that India will always be ready to help Bhutan development plans. The king of Bhutan appreciated India's concerns for regional development. Modi said "I said a while backBfor B.The clour of our passports may be different but our thinking is the same.India stands committed to Bhutan'happiness and progress."Modi was concious about India's unilaterak decision to withdrawal of subsidies on LPG and Kerosene oil therefore; he asserted "Our hydropower cooperation with Bhutan is a classic exampke of win-win cooperation abd a model for the entire region."Modi also inaugerated Supreme Court building which was built with Indian assistance. Both the sides expressed their satisfaction on the visit.

INS Vikramaditya Introduction to Indian Navy

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has dedicated INS VIKRAMADITYA to Indian navy on 14th June 2014 and it marked the beginning of a new era of military build up in the Indian Ocean. It is an important day of Indian navy to acquire and operate 45000 tonnes class warship that will increase maritime muscles as it will carry 34 aircrafts of MiG-29k and helicopters. It will replace aging 55 years old Viraat aircraft carrier .The PM decision to be on the board of INS VIKRAMADITYA as his first outing again points out the urgency and importance the new government is giving to modernization of Indian navy. It is essential in modern security scenario as India is surrounded by hostile countries from most of the sides.

Goa Chief Minister welcoming PM Narendra Modi on INS VIKRAMADITYA

Keeping the security scenario in the view, the NDA government in 2004 purchased Russian Admiral Gorshkov later named as INS VIKRAMADITYA at the cost of$ 800 million dollars and further ordered the purchase of 45MiG-29K at the cost of $2.0 dollors. There was inordinate delay and over running of the cost in acquiring the vikramaditya which has delayed  India's process of the modernisation of navy but all is well that ends well. Now everybody knows that in modern warfare the role of navy will be very important therefore the government has decided to go for modernization of all the three wings of Indian army and PM has stressed on indigenisation of defence production and even propogated hundred percent FDI in the defence sector. Indian navy has to take care of huge strategic interests in this region therefore it has already ordered 44 warships at the cost of over Rs. two lakh crore.

         INS VIKRAMADITYA (after refitting)

The story of acquiring Admiral Gorshkov is full of cotrversies and complexities as India decided to purchase it when it was decommissioned in 1996 by Russia due to its high running and maintenance costs.India looking for a replacement for its carrier INS VIRAAT negotiated the deal at $800millions whichwas the cost of refitting as carrier was given free cost but later on Russia went back from its commitments  and asked for a higher price
of $2.9billions citing various reasons for cost  over running but real ressons sre best known to Russia. After several rounds of negotiations, the deal was finally negotiated a day before the visit or Russian president Puttin in 2010 at $2.35 billions. There is a story that an Indian officer  Mr.Sujinder Singh who in charge of refitting of Vikramaditya has blackmailed Indian authorities and later on he was removed. The during the sea trial there was a problem in boiler which was removed.According to the military experts INS VIKRAMADITYA has a life of 40years and will not require any major overhauling as it is refarbricated by 70% and all its cables are new.Originally it has IBM launching barrels which were removed to create second runway. Therefore with all its new war fittings the aircraft carrier is capable of countering any type of naval threats.

                       Admiral Gorshkov (originally before refitting)

As regards to naval strength of other neighboring countries, only China has more fire power than India as its newly acquired  Warship carrier from Ukraine is of 65000-tonne and it is further building bew carriers . India on the other hand building 40000 tonne INS Vikrant to be operational during 2018-19.Pakistan has no Aircraft carrier as a result India faces threats only from China and the new government will have to keep pace with China. As  navy requires huge amount of money for its modernization and for the purchase of new warfare  power therefore a fine balancing is required to boost up military build up.

MiG-29K to be deployed on INS VIKRAMADITYA

PM has clearly given a message to the world that India will not aim to threaten other countries but it will not allow other countries to threaten India. Therefore the role of 282 metre long and 58.3 metre high VIKRAMADITYA is very important to maintain regional balance. At the same time he  put great  emphasis on the indigenous profuction of defence equipments is very relevant as India's experience with Russia and other countries is not very good and they may not be trustworthy at the time of war.Furthermore after disintrgration of USSR most of defence production centres are in the other  countries that may not be as friendly to India as is Russia therefore it is better for India to find out some reliable supplier of arms and equipments.

Chaos in Iraq: A Failure of Peace Process In The Middle East

Iraq is in the turmoil as  jehadi fighters of Islamic State of Iraq and Syria(ISIS) are moving fast and capturing large territories of State of Iraq.As this news spreaded both Western countries and US government are under serious pressure to take corrective measures to stop growing presence of ISIS in this region. When Bush government decided to attack Iraq in 1991 under pretext of destroying the Weapons of Mass Destruction and to remove dictatorship of Saddam Hussein then nobody has the idea that where could it lead to this region? In fact US and allied forces attacks on Iraq were not carried out for simple military gains but for vicious economic and political designs and it led to not only creating more distability and disintegration but it also provided fertile land for the growth of terrorism. As it happened that due to the presence of US , Islamic militant groups started increasing their presence in this region and even recruited foreign fighters for jehad and in this process they were amply supported by many Arab countries. In the beginning it was Al-Qeada that led the fight against US forces and it went on to attack on WTO to take revenge for increasing presence of US forces in the middle east region.

It is a well known fact that Iraq war was fought for the oil than any thing  because Saddam Hussein oil policy was anti US and therefore ,many US oil companies financed election of Bush and Chenny so that they get a free hand in oil exploration in Iraq.As soon as Saddam Hussein was defeated and US supported government was established in Iraq then first the oil related laws were changed and then US oil companies like BP, Chevron, Exxon and many others were given full control of Iraqi oil fields. It will not be wrong to say that the basic reason behind US attack on Iraq was to plundered natural resources of Iraq and it is the reason why ISIS like fundamentalist organisation got tremendous support in other muslim countries as people see them as an emancipator.

Iraqi soldiers captured by ISIS terrorists

When finally US decided to vacate Iraq in 2011, then it neither strengthened Iraqi forces to face growing challenge of the Islamic terrorism nor there was well established administration based on equal representatio of all the sections of Iraqi society. Therefore the government in Iraq was dominated by Shia, and Sunni and Khurds were not only neglected but put to extreme exploitation. In the meantime there was civil unrest in Syria and disintegration of Lybia and the whole region was suitable for the growth of the terrorists groups and birth of ISIS like organization was natural. ISIS is born of regional wsrfare and Islamic fundamentalism and it harvested heavily on robbing cashes and extortion. ISIS aims at drawing a new msp of the middle east by creating a Sunni state including some parts of Syria and Iraq.

Rise of ISIS in this region was supported by different forces at different times for different reasons. Both the PM Nuri-al-Maliki of Iraq and president Obama supported ISIS in the beginning to contain growth of other anti US militant organizations. As soon as they realized that it is becoming monstrous and difficult to reign then abandoned it but it was too late and ISIS by that became the most powerful force in this region and all other terrorists organizations were opposed to its ideology of a new Sunni state in the middle east. Even the Syrian president provided all kinds of support to ISIS  to have gains over fighting jehadis in his country but he soon realized that ISIS has bigger design than mere fighting against the other organizations. The great strenth of ISIS lies in the fact that its fighters are from Pakistan, Chechenya, Afghanistan and Saudi Arebia. As a result the whole middle east region is under danger of disintegration.

By 2014, ISIS has become the most powerful group in the middle east and it started capturing towns of Iraq. Its fighters are very bloodthirsty and barbarous and therefore Iraqi military has started leaving its posts unprotected or in other words facilitating the capture ot towns. Only 1500 jehadis of ISIS have seized six Black Hawk helicopters and plundered more than 2500 billion Iraqi Dinars from the vaults of banks of Mosul, an important town of Iraq as a result on 10th June the PM Nuri-al-Maliki has to declare state emergency and asked for the support from US and European countries. On the very next day these fighters even moved ahead to capture another town called Tikrit the birth place of Saddam Hussein and now they are moving forward to capture the capital city of Baghdad.

At the same time Peshmerga fighters, the security forces of Iraq autonomous Khurdish have captured vacated town of Kirkuk known for its huge oil reserves to fulfill their long dream of making it the capital city of Khurdish State.A police officer in Udhaim said that "we are waiting for supporting troops and are afraid that terrorists are seeking to cut the main highway that linksBaghdad to  north. "It raises very serious security threats to the whole region as capture of Baghdad will pose a new geographical map in the middle east.
Killing of Iraqi sdiers by ISIS terrorists

Many Senators have raised their voice of concern and asked President Obama to take suitable military action to protect US interest in the middle east. They blamed national security team for this situation and asked for sacking them.No doubt the matter is very serious and drastic steps are required to save the region of middle east as it will have both economic and political implications for the whole world.
Dead bodies of killed Iraqi soldiers

International implications of ISIS are far reaching as victory of these fundamentalists forces will disturb not only political and economic equations but also social issues as it will start Sunni dominance in this area. The immediate effect can be seen as rise in the crude oil price in the international market which will affect economies of both developed and developing countries especially India as it imports large quantity of crude oil from Iraq.At the same times it is going to affect social equations in the countries like Iran, Turkey, Syria and other Arabic nations, mostly dominated by Shias community. As a result Iran for the first time is ready to cooperate with US in the fight against ISIS .If fight continues for a longer period then things may change as support for ISIS may come from Sunni community from all over the world and mainly from other terrorists organisations that will complicate the issue, therefore  all steps should be taken immediately. There is exodus of more than five millions people from Iraq.

The power  and influence of ISIS terrorists is increasing every day as more and more jehadis are joining the group and in the light of weakened military structure of Iraqi government it is difficult that  their progress towards Baghdad can be averted by Iraq alone. In the whole issue again US is responsible as firstly it destroyef Bath army of Iraq abd secondly it failed to develop a strong army to replace Bath army in the post Saddam Hussein era.As a result the whole region was left on the mercy of fundamentalists and terrorists organisations.US logic of saving humanity from the dictatorship and misrule of Saddam Hussein stands exposed as  US invasion in Iraq not only destroyed a civilisation and its inheritance but also led to civil war in the whole region disturbing even social relationship.

The way ISIS fighters are capturing and killing Iraqi soldiers and police personnel are indicative of their vendetta towards Shia community and if Baghdad falls in the hands of ISIS terrorists then it will bring catastrophic situation in this region. It will lead to a sectarian war between Shia and Sunni just like as it happened during medieval times and the only country responsible will be US which for having gains from Iraqi oil had created this situation as Saddam Hussein was not in line with US interests in this region. Now what promted ISIS jehadis to select Iraq and Syria as their starting point of expression of their new regional nationalism. It is clear from the speed at which these fighters are capturing territories of Iraq that they are getting local support from Sunni population and members of Bath party.
The rise of ISIS is also a reflection of failure of new government in Iraq to involve all the sections of people in the process of nation building. When Saddam Hussein was removed from Iraq by US and a new government wss formed under leadership of Nuri-al Maliki then the government was dominsted by Shias and Sunnis were not only neglected but were kept out of main stream of power. The growing discontent among them was ably exploited by ISIS fighters. Then disturbance in the middle east had created animosity between Saudi Arebia and Iran as both the countries wanted to dominate the Muslim world. In doing so Saudi Arab supported ISIS fighters as a replacement for Al Qeada. Now US delima is that Obama doesnot want to send US army to Iraq therefore the next option is to support Iran to control ISIS but for many policy makers it is undigestable. As time is running fast even this option is running out for US , therefore US hss to take a strong step to protect Iraq from disintegration.
